I can’t believe what my mom named me – people say she must have been hungry when I was born | The Sun

AT one point or another, everyone has probably wished their parents named them something different.

One Reddit post revealed the unique name a mother gave to her child and people think she must've been hungry while giving birth.

A Reddit user shared a screenshot of a post which said: "My momma looked me dead in the face when I was born and named me Teriyaki."

Teriyaki is a cooking technique used in Japanese culture in which foods are broiled or grilled.

A combination of soy sauce, mirin, and sugar is then used to create the sauce for this popular dish.

Fish is most often used in Teriyaki dishes in Japan, while in the west the protein often comes from chicken or red meat.
