I had a mummy makeover & now stink & can’t sneeze or laugh – don't ask me about my privates | The Sun

A WOMAN has revealed that she had a mummy makeover surgery to transform her looks, but was not prepared for what would happen after the procedure.

The 28-year-old mother, named Stacey, explained that not only does laughing, coughing and sneezing hurt really bad post-surgery, but she now absolutely stinks too, and no amount of deodorant will solve it.

Not only this, but she also explained that she had no clue that her private parts would be altered from the surgery too.

Posting on TikTok under the username @stacehuds, Stacey said: “Things I wish I knew/surprised me about getting a mummy makeover surgery.

“Number one – be open during your consultation.

“If you've been following me for a while, then you’ll know that the entire time that I was getting my pre-op stuff ready to go, I thought I was just getting mini tummy tuck because I was not open to talking about it in my initial consultation.

“So I wish that I was open for my initial consultation, because I ended up getting a full tummy tuck.”

Stacey then discussed wearing jewellery during surgery as she shared: “Number two – no jewellery during surgery.

“Now, I did know this and I was prepped for it, but I do have a teeny little hoop in my rook right here.

“It's so small, so I thought, maybe they'll let me just keep it in during surgery because it's such a pain to take out.

“The nurse during my pre-op stuff did say I could leave it in, but there is risk for it to burn you during surgery – that I did not know and that was kind of wild. I did end up taking it out.”

Stacey then moved onto number three, as she added: “Nothing could have prepared me for this one, nobody had ever talked about it or said anything – surgery changed my vagina.

“Okay, so you gotta think about it, when they take the skin on the top, they also have to take the skin on the bottom and stretch it together.

“So, yes, it's stretched up here, but also stretched from down there.

“It's totally different down there now and it's really weird.

“I have to wrap my head around it, it's kind of wild.”

She then moved onto number four, as she revealed: “Laughing, coughing and sneezing hurts so bad.

“It makes sense because it engages your abdominal muscles and if you get muscle repair, then obviously it's gonna hurt a ton, but it just wasn't something that I thought about pre-surgery.

“It is a lot better now that I'm 16 days post-op, but it was rough for a while.”

Not only this, but number five might surprise you, as Stacey admitted that since the surgery, she now smells.

She revealed: “I'm stinky. And I think it's because you got all this fluid, you get your drains, but then your drains come out. It's gotta come out.

“You're peeing it out, you're sweating it out and it reeks.

“No amount of deodorant can save me at this point.

“You will not be able to shower for a while and my first post-op shower, I couldn't even use soap, so I couldn't even help my stinkiness.

“And for some people, they have said they were not allowed to shower for 10 days.”

Not only does Stacey now smell, but she said that she’s having trouble sleeping too.

She shared: “Insomnia is real.

“I take melatonin almost every night.”

Finally, the brunette mother opened up about the painful healing phase, as she claimed: “And lastly, the second healing phase is worse.

“Your first phase you're like in bed, you can't move, you're on pain meds – it's whatever.

“Then the second phase happens where you're like, I feel like myself again, I want to get up and move around, but you can't because you're still healing.”

Stacey’s clip has clearly left many open-mouthed, as at the time of writing, it had quickly amassed a whopping 346,700 views in just two days.

It has 14.7k likes, 318 comments, 1,273 saves and 230 shares.

Many social media users took to the comments to praise Stacey for her honesty and to reveal their post-surgery implications.

One person said: “Girl!! Thank you for the REAL REALNESS!!”

Another added: “Also something they don’t tell you, you go through an emotional and mental roller coaster. It's a weird phase too.”
