A DIY enthusiast has saved thousands of dollars by building his own privacy fence.

It wasn't without its sacrifices, however, because he was left with cuts and bruises.

But as far as he was concerned it was worth the physical toil.

He now has a fence to be proud of and can be safe in the knowledge that it didn't cost him a small fortune.

“How to build your DIY fence and save thousands," said this TikToker, Renovated Mind (@renovatedlife).

He has 13,000 likes on his platform where he promises to deliver: "DIY and home improvement."
