I spent $746 on SKIMS clothing – one outfit made me look like a grandma and another fell apart as I was wearing it

SHOPPERS have been seeking out the hard-to-find pieces from Kim Kardashian's SKIMS collection, so one fashion YouTube star was delighted when she managed a great haul.

But as she tried on the clothing, she found one outfit so unflattering, she couldn't decide if it was a "grandma" or a "toddler" look – and another set created a huge mess in her apartment.

German YouTube personality Naomi Jon spent a total of €718 on the clothes, which equated to around $746 USD.

When she first opened them, she was excited.

"I have seen a lot on social media and have a very good impression of this brand so far," Jon said.

Her first pick was a cotton plunge bralette and matching ribbed boxers. The cream-colored set cost around $81.

"This really accentuates my belly," Jon said, turning to the side and looking at her silhouette.

"It doesn't look sexy, just comfortable."

She said that the fabric felt sturdy, but not necessarily up for working out, and it didn't do anything to shape her figure.

"This is definitely not shapewear, just chill wear," Jon concluded.

Next, Jon tried on the silky teddy in the shade oak, which she purchased for $137.

Right away, she was unimpressed.

"I look like a grandma, and the boobs are so pointy," Jon said as she walked on camera.

She was clearly uncomfortable in the snug one-piece.

"I had so much trouble putting it on," Jon said, although she later realized that there were buttons in the seat she had not noticed initially that would've made the suit easier to get on.

But even after adjusting the straps, Jon couldn't get the teddy to sit on her body in a flattering way.

"It looks like a bathing suit for toddlers or for grandmas," she sighed.

Jon loved the two-piece outfit she tried on next, which included flocked pants and a top with built-in gloves.

The set cost around $166, but Jon called the fold-down gloves "the smartest thing I've ever seen."

But her infatuation with the outfit didn't last.

"It really gives off a lot of dust and little fabric pieces," she said.

The bothersome issue quickly grew out of control.

As she wore the outfit, more fuzz and lint came off the flocked outfit, coating the microphone Jon was using to record.

"It looks like it's snowing," she cried.

"I really wanted this to be my favorite outfit," Jon admitted. "This is not good for my lungs and my throat."

Switching into shapewear, Jon saw why SKIMS is so popular for its body-sculpting products.

"I am shaped to the gods!" she exclaimed, stepping out in an $81 bodysuit.

The outfit seemed impossibly small when she removed it from the package but went on just right.

"Don't let it fool you, because it will fit," Jon said.

The YouTube star said she felt accentuated from the front, and her chest was lifted, but her butt was flattened.

Still, the impact on her waistline was undeniable.

"I could imagine wearing it to a special occasion. To the Met Gala!" she said.

She kept the shapewear on to wear underneath her next outfit, a see-through lingerie set.

"It's not super special but you could feel beautiful in this," Jon said.

All three pieces cost a total of $176, though Jon slid out of the garter belt when she realized she had no stockings to use it with.

The underwear were especially comfortable.

"I could give myself a wedgie with these and not feel anything," Jon said, stretching them out.

Finally, Jon tried on a signature piece from the SKIMS collection.

"I feel like Kim K," she said as she walked onscreen wearing the long sleeve lounge dress in camel.

Adjusting the dress, Jon asked, "It looks nice, but who exactly thought this neckline was a good idea?"

No matter what she tried, the neckline didn't work with her bra straps, and the whole chest area was loose on her.

"This is way too big," Jon said.

"It has a really nice quality, right off the bat when you get it out of the packaging," she added. "It feels very heavy and the fabric feels very nice."

Jon was glad she tried the SKIMS pieces even if most of them won't find a permanent home in her wardrobe.
