A PROFESSIONAL cleaner has revealed how to treat the mould in your washing machine – and there’s no scrubbing involved whatsoever. 

Snowenne shared that you’ll need just two bargain ingredients too, both of which you probably already have at home. 


Known online as @snowenne_cleans, she regularly shares cleaning tips and life hacks with her 153,000 followers. 

In a new TikTok video, she said: “How to properly clean the mould out of your washing machine. 

“Grab some paper towels and shove in the crack. 

“Then get some bleach and soak the paper towels.”

Below the video, she added: “I don’t normally touch bleach because I’m always afraid it’s going to ruin something but it works so.”

During the one-minute video, the cleaning motivator is seen wearing her notorious pink rubber gloves while showing the camera the black and green mould in the seal of her washing machine. 

Snowenne suggested leaving the bleach-soaked paper towels in place for up to 24 hours and leaving the washing machine door open for the best results. 

She added: “For bad stains…leave at least 24 hours. Smaller stains for about six hours.

Fans loved her quick and easy hack, with the video gaining more than 2,130 likes and 150,200 views. 

In the comments, other TikTok users shared their reactions, with one writing: “omg I needed this lol moved into apt and machine has mould.”

Another joked: “Marry me.”

“I always wondered how to clean that. I have tried everything (but bleach haha) and nothing worked. Thanks for this,” a third added. 

Others shared their own hacks, with another commenting: “I removed the rubber and put it in a bag and soaked it with vinegar it was gone the next day. Needed husband tho.”
