I’m a deal finder – four supermarket basics for less than 30p but avoid Aldi if you need potatoes | The Sun

SHOPPING around is the best way to save money on your weekly food items.

It’s a chore to figure out what’s cheapest where, so a popular deal finder has done the hard work for us.

TikTok page Latest Deals has rounded up the top ten ways to beat the cost of living crisis during your food shop – and the results are surprising.

I compared a weekly shop at M&S and Tesco – I didn’t expect the results at all

Woman who spent £30 on M&S food was amazed by how much she got

“Aldi spaghetti is 28p and 2 kg of potatoes are just 95p at M&S – it’s cheaper than Aldi.”

M&S might not be your idea of a budget supermarket, but in the last year they’ve dropped their prices and introduced their own value range of meat, vegetables and cupboard items which compete with top stores like Tesco, Aldi and Lidl.

Next up is the iconic lasagne ready meal – just 90p at Asda.

Meanwhile the best shop for carrots is Tesco, who charge 50p for 1 kg – that’s 6p cheaper than Aldi.
