But being a female bricklayer also sees Darcie faced with almost constant criticism from people who don't approve of her job.



She took to the social media site to share a video response to someone who had commented on one of her clips: "There is no way I would want her over a man.

"It’s proven men are stronger – just ain’t right. "

However, Darcie insisted that while men are "biologically stronger", she's just as capable as any of her male colleagues.

Darcie went on to praise the "army of bad b**ches out there" that are doing what they love and paying their bills at the same time.

"‘Get back in the kitchen, you’re not strong enough, what’s she doing doing a man’s job?’ Grow up," she continued.

"The reason we’re not in the kitchen is because we’re building your houses!

"Just try and be present in the 21st century, where women can do absolutely anything we want."

People in the comments section were quick to praise Darcie for her honesty, with many insisting they'd hire a female tradesperson over a man.

"A female tradie will actually get things done," one wrote.

"The guys just seem to stand around with their hands in their pockets."
