Mom shares 'peace of mind' hack to stop your kids getting lost when you're out – it could save their lives

KEEPING an eye on your kids, especially when you have multiple little ones, can be hard if you're going out to a crowded place like an amusement park or even the store.

Some moms will put a leash on their child, while others will put actual tracking devices on their bags or their clothes – but this mom has a much cheaper option.

Shari Medini – mom, co-author of Parenting while Working from Home, and co-owner of AdoreThemParenting.com – revealed she simply puts a wristband on her kids in case they get lost.

"Keep your kids safe with this super easy mom hack," she said in her video.

"All you have to do is buy a pack of these Tyvek wrist bands – they're like 500 in a pack for less than $10."

She proceeded to take them out of their bag and with a pen, she wrote down her name and cell phone number.

"Keep them in your car with a Sharpie and then, whenever you get to your destination, just write your name and phone number and put it on your kid's wrist.

"It's water-proof, cheap, easy, and it might give you a little bit of peace of mind while you're out and having fun."

Other moms chimed in and shared a few more tips of their own after she posted her video.

One mom claimed that instead of writing her own name, she simply puts her relation to the kid she's taking care of, just to protect her identity.

This also tells the person who finds their kid that it is a safe number to call.

A second claimed that she simply writes her name and number on her child's arm and paints a liquid bandage over it.

Back in July, another mom added to the long list of hacks to make sure kids stay safe, but this one was more about the clothes you buy them.

She claimed that if you're going to the pool or an amusement park, make sure to dress your kid in neon colors.

Not only will this help you pick them out in a crowd easily, but if they are at a pool and they go underwater, they'll be easier to spot.
