Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark is a model, socialite, and the oldest child and only daughter of Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece, and his wife, Marie-Chantal Miller. She is a member of the non-reigning Greek Royal Family.

On Saturday, March 17, Princess Olympia shared three photos of herself wearing an intricately-made two-piece by iconic French fashion house Dior.

The photos were accompanied by the caption: “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem”, lyrics from a song by Taylor Swift.

Olympia stood in front of a gold, oval-shaped mirror to show off her outfit. It comprised of a long-sleeved jacket and a long skirt.

The jacket was the Brandenburg Fitted-Jacket made in Ecru Cotton-Blend Lace. It is currenty out of stock but when on sale, retailed on Dior’s website for a whopping £3,800.

The designer described the garment, saying: “As seen at the fashion show, the jacket pays elegant tribute to the collection’s signature equestrian inspiration.

“Crafted in an ecru blended cotton lace, the fitted silhouette has a Brandenburg closure and an officer collar with puff sleeves that embellish the design.

“The style can be coordinated with a mid-length skirt to complete the look.”

The mid-length skirt in question was the one Olympia was wearing – the Flared Mid-Length Skirt, also in Ecru Cotton-Blend Lace.

Its description read: “The mid-length skirt, a hallmark Dior silhouette, is reinterpreted in a delicate variation playing on elements of transparency.

“Crafted in ecru cotton-blend lace with a floral motif, it stands out thanks to a flared cut enhanced by pleat detailing at the waist.

“The skirt can be paired with the matching jacket to complete the look.”

The garment is currently out of stock, but customers can choose to be notified when it returns to the Dior website. It costs a huge £2,700.

Olympia’s blonde locks were in a relaxed style for the photos and she wore minimal make-up and no jewellery – the Princess let her outfit do the talking.

Royal fans were quick to comment on her look, with some expressing their delight with it, while others were not as impressed.

User @rebpat1113 wrote: “Not for me. Could see Kate wearing this but does she ever wear Dior?”

User @lauriejramirez said: “It’s giving Anne of Green Gables. Very pretty pieces but would work better as separates. That jacket with cigarette pants and flats or even with some flowy linen wide-legs and lug boots.”

User @goosegirlenfys commented: “What in the Edwardian era is this costume? It’s pretty but definitely looks too old fashioned, and like a period costume in a BBC drama where they didn’t worry too much about historical accuracy but still tried a bit.”

User @lou.cartonkelly added: “Like something out of a school dressing up box I’m afraid.”
