Amazon bank holiday sale: best deals on alcohol including Baileys, gin and champagne

AMAZON'S bank holiday sale starts today and we've got the low down on the best bargains.

The online retailer is letting customers stock up on cheap booze, with some bottles sold at their best price ever.

It's not just costs on alcohol that have been slashed as the six day long sale also includes make up,  sunglasses, smart home devices, headphones, furniture, TVs and toys.

New deals will be launched every day from now until August 29. Some will only last for one day, so you'll have to move fast, while others will last for the whole week (or as long as stocks last).

How to make sure you get the best deals this bank holiday

IT’S so easy to get carried away and just buy things because they’re in the sale, but you could end up getting ripped off.

Follow these three steps to make sure you're actually getting a bargain:

  • Check CamelCamelCamel to check the product's price history to see if you really are getting a good deal, or whether you could get a better one later if you held out. You can also set up price alerts to let you know when the cost drops.
  • Use FakeSpot to check whether the item is genuine or not. The site scans the reviews to see if they're "reliable" or not so you can decide whther you trust the seller.
  • Sign up to the 30 day Amazon Prime trial to take advantage of  free delivery. But remember to cancel the subscription before the trial is up or you'll be charged the full £79.
