The beloved movie Juno has officially been out for 15 years now, and while the flick may have hit theaters over a decade ago, it’s still revered as one of the best indie films of all time.

The film – which premiered on Christmas day in 2007 – was about a 16-year-old girl named Juno (played by Elliot Page), who became pregnant with her best friend, Paulie’s (portrayed by Michael Cera) baby.

It followed Juno’s difficult pregnancy journey, as she made the hard decision to give up her baby for adoption to uptight Vanessa (played by Jennifer Garner) and failed rock star Mark (portrayed by Jason Bateman).

The movie was wildly popular – performing incredibly well in the box office, getting rave reviews by critics, winning multiple awards, and becoming a fan favorite that’s still beloved by many even now, 15 years on.

The flick also launched a major career for many of its stars – but what are they all doing now, a decade and a half after Juno first premiered?

As the flick celebrates its fifteenth anniversary, FEMAIL has uncovered everything the stars have accomplished in the years following Juno. Stars Jennifer Garner, Elliot Page, and J.K. Simmons are seen together in March 2022

As the flick celebrates its fifteenth anniversary, FEMAIL has uncovered everything the stars have accomplished in the years following Juno.

Most notably, Page went on to become a huge Hollywood success, starring in a huge array of movies and TV shows like Inception, the X-Men movies, and the hit Netflix show The Umbrella Academy.

Despite the film skyrocketing his career, the actor – who came out as a transgender man in December 2020 – later claimed that starring in the 2007 movie and being forced to dress a certain way for it ‘almost killed’ him, sparking a heartbreaking battle with depression and anxiety, as well as an eating disorder that resulted in him so much weight that he ‘collapsed multiple times.’

As for Cera, he was also shot into stardom after appearing in Juno – and has since acted in numerous other roles, but has opted to live a much more private life out of the spotlight in recent years.

Whether they’re still acting or have shied away from the public eye in recent years, one thing is clear – Juno had a huge impact on all of the cast’s lives and careers, something Page, Garner, and J.K. Simmons (who played Juno’s father) made clear when they reunited to celebrate the movie’s 15-anniversary earlier this year.

The three stars took to the Oscars stage back in March, where they commemorated the film and expressed their mutual pride over its success.

’15 years ago, we all experienced the exhilarating feeling of reading a wholly original screenplay that felt new and exciting,’ Garner recalled, while standing alongside Page and Simmons.

‘Juno had me hooked from the very first page,’ Page added. ‘It was completely infused with [writer] Diablo Cody’s distinctive voice. It was unlike anything I’ve ever read before.’

From landing more acting roles and branching out to other impressive endeavors to making strides in their personal lives and starting their own families, here’s everything the cast of Juno has been up to over the last decade and a half – in honor of the movie’s 15-year anniversary.

Elliot Page came out as transgender and changed his name from Ellen to Elliot in 2020 – years after he suffered from ‘severe panic attacks’ over wearing girly clothes during promo for the film

Page (seen left in the movie and right in November), 35, played the title character Juno in the movie, a 16-year-old girl who got pregnant by her childhood best friend. He has since come out as a transgender man and landed a ton more roles

Page, 35, played the title character Juno in the movie, a 16-year-old girl who got pregnant by her childhood best friend and made the decision to give her child up for adoption.

Before landing the role, he had starred in a few various roles – including the movie Hard Candy and X-Men: The Last Stand – but it was Juno that truly propelled him into the spotlight.

He then went on to star in the comedy-drama Smart People, Drew Barrymore’s Whip It, Christopher Nolan’s thriller Inception, the comedy superhero film Super, Woody Allen-directed movie To Rome With Love, a few more X-Men movies, and the sci-fi movie Flatliners, among others. He also famous portrayed Vanya/Viktor Hargreeves in the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy.

Since Juno premiered in 2007, Page has gone through a life-altering transition by coming out as transgender – in 2020, the Inception star revealed he would be changing his name from Ellen to Elliot and that he’d be using he/they pronouns from that point on.

The 35-year-old actor later opened up about how he first ‘felt like a boy’ when he was nine years old, and admitted that by the time Juno reached the height of its success when he was 20 years old, the pressure of masking his true identity ‘nearly killed’ him.

He told Time Magazine in March 2021 that he was flooded with relief after cutting his hair short at age nine. But after after he began pursuing acting professionally a year later, he said he was made to grow his hair back out for the 1997 film Pit Pony.

The 35-year-old actor later opened up about how he first ‘felt like a boy’ when he was nine years old, and admitted that by the time Juno reached the height of its success when he was 20 years old, the pressure of masking his true identity ‘nearly killed’ him. He is seen at the Juno premiere in 2007

‘I became a professional actor at the age of 10 and pursuing that passion came with a difficult compromise,’ he shared. ‘Of course I had to look a certain way.’

Puberty only made things worse for Page as he couldn’t hide behind the ‘tomboy’ label, explaining that he felt a ‘disconnection’ with his body.

‘It was total Hell, absolutely,’ he said during an April 2021 episode of The Oprah Conversation. ‘I think before puberty if you’re a tomboy, it can be somewhat accepted or dismissed.

‘But then when I got to puberty and that age, that wasn’t OK anymore. And that’s when a lot of teasing began and mostly just the beginning of just very profound discomfort in my body and disconnection from my body. And I was acting too, so going to set every day and changing into clothes that really made me feel ill.’

Matters only got worse once Page got his big break in Juno. During the 2008 awards season following Juno’s release, Page told Esquire magazine that he struggled with ‘depression, anxiety, and severe panic attacks’ and ‘could not look at a photo’ of himself on the red carpet during that time.

He also said he would ‘struggle with food’ – losing so much weight that he ‘collapsed multiple times.’

‘When Juno was at the height of its popularity, during awards-season time, I was closeted, dressed in heels and the whole look – I wasn’t OK, and I didn’t know how to talk about that with anyone,’ he told the outlet.

‘I wish people would understand that that s**t literally did almost kill me. In my early to mid-20s, I didn’t know how to tell people how unwell I was. I would berate myself for it.

‘I was living the life and my dreams were coming true, and all that was happening. I struggled with food, intense depression, anxiety, and severe panic attacks.

‘I wish people would understand that that s**t literally did almost kill me. In my early to mid-20s, I didn’t know how to tell people how unwell I was. I would berate myself for it,’ he said. He is seen in July 2010

‘Can I relate to the suicide problem among trans people? Yeah, I can relate deeply. And not only to the very conscious, direct act of doing it but also certain times when I lost so much weight or when I was having such severe panic attacks and collapsed multiple times – all these things that very easily could, and statistically do, lead to death.

‘There were moments of wanting to not be here… I would look out the window of my apartment and think, “With everything going on right now and how incredible it all is, this is how I feel? And I’m 22?” It was like, I don’t know if I could do it.’

Eventually, Page realized he couldn’t keep carrying on in his career in this state.

‘Even as an actor playing a character, it was becoming way too detrimental to my health to wear feminine clothing. I think it was hard for people to understand,’ he said. ‘I feel like I barely was existing.

‘There’s periods where I didn’t even want to leave my apartment. It was really hard for me to be social with people. Periods in my career where it felt impossible to read a script in a day. And you don’t know why and you don’t know how to express it.’

He has since said that coming out ‘improved his life drastically,’ and that he now feels a large ‘degree of joy.’ Page is seen in 2019, months before coming out as transgender

According to Page, the pandemic played a huge role in allowing him to reflect on his identity and feel comfortable enough to come out. He said: ‘I was finally able to embrace being transgender, and let myself fully become who I am’

The actor was met with mostly positive reception after he came out. In fact, Steve Blackman, the creator of The Umbrella Project, was inspired to change Page’s character to fit his new identity – changing the character’s name from Vanya to Viktor

As for his love life, Page is currently single, after he and his wife of three years Emma Portner filed for divorce in 2020. He and Portner are seen together in 2019

He has since said that coming out ‘improved his life drastically,’ and that he now feels a large ‘degree of joy.’ He recently underwent top surgery – a subcutaneous mastectomy during which the breasts and breast tissue are removed in order to create a more masculine chest.

He is currently working on a memoir entitled Pageboy, which is set to come out next year. He is seen in November

According to Page, the coronavirus pandemic played a huge role in allowing him to reflect on his identity and feel comfortable enough to come out.

‘I was finally able to embrace being transgender, and letting myself fully become who I am,’ he said.

The actor was met with mostly positive reception after he came out. In fact, Steve Blackman, the creator of The Umbrella Project, was inspired to change Page’s character to fit his new identity.

Initially, Page played a cis-gender female character named Vanya, but Blackman changed the character to a transgender man named Viktor after Page’s announcement.

‘When we first talked about it, [Blackman] seemed really excited about incorporating it into the show,’ Page said on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

However, more importantly than his career, Page wanted to focus on the happiness that coming out as transgender brought to his personal life.

‘What I want to focus on right now, and has been so extraordinary is the degree of joy that I feel, the degree of presence that I feel, I feel a way that I really never thought possible for a long, long time,’ Page added. ‘It’s improved my life drastically,’ Page said.

As for his love life, Page is currently single, after he and his wife of three years Emma Portner filed for divorce in 2020.

Even though it was initially believed that they split up when Page came out as transgender in December 2020, they revealed that they actually had separated months prior and decided to file for divorce once Page publicly came out.

‘After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer,’ they said in a statement to DailyMail.com. ‘We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends.’

Portner expressed her support after Page tweeted that he was transgender, writing, ‘I am so proud of @elliotpage. Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world.’

He is currently working on a memoir entitled Pageboy, which is set to come out next year.

Michael Cera has done his best to keep his personal life out of the spotlight in recent years – but accidentally let it slip that he welcomed a baby boy in secret with his wife, Nadine, earlier this year

In Juno, Cera (seen left in the movie and right in July), 34, played Paulie, the timid and sweet teenage boy who is  the father of Juno’s baby. Since its premiere in 2007, he has continued to make a career out of playing the same type of characters

Cera and Page lead the film to success while playing love interests in the film

Cera then went on to star alongside Kat Dennings in the rom-com Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist (seen)

Before landing the role as Paulie in Juno, the timid and sweet teenage boy who is best friends with Juno and the father of her baby, Cera, 34, acted in the series Arrested Development and the comedy film Superbad.

And since Juno premiered in 2007, the actor has continued to make a career out of playing awkward yet lovable characters.

He then went on to star alongside Kat Dennings in the rom-com Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist, the comedy Extreme Movie, Year One (opposite Jack Black), 2010 movie Scott Pilgrim vs the World, the reboot of Arrested Development, Amy Schumer’s series Life & Beth, and voiced Batman’s sidekick Robin in several Lego movies.

He is also a musician and is a member of the band The Long Goodbye, with whom he has dropped multiple singles.

Cera is notoriously private about his personal life, but it seems to be just as successful as his acting career – as he and his wife Nadine welcomed a baby boy into the world earlier this year.

Cera is notoriously private about his personal life, but it seems to be just as successful as his acting career – as he and his wife Nadine welcomed a baby boy into the world earlier this year. They are seen together in 2018

Cera (seen in March) shared the news in March, revealing he and his wife had welcomed a baby boy in private six months earlier. He said: ‘We’re right at the beginning of it. We’re doing the very basics right now’

While promoting Life & Beth, Schumer accidentally revealed that Michael had become a father. She told Entertainment Tonight in an interview, ‘Michael has a baby, too.’

Realizing her faux pas, she remarked, ‘Is that public knowledge?… I just outed him, I just outed his baby.’

He then chimed in, confirming that the news was true and adding, ‘We’re right at the beginning of it. We’re doing the very basics right now.’

During an Extra interview a few days later, he confirmed that he and his wife’s baby was a boy, stating, ‘He’s just a little six-month-old baby.’

He and his wife’s exciting baby news came three years after they tied the knot in 2018. They were first linked earlier that year when they attended the 2018 Tony Awards together.

Jennifer Garner has continued to act in a slew of big movies and TV shows – and has since gone through a very public divorce with Ben Affleck

Garner (seen left in the movie and right in November), 50, launched a vast career spanning across decades after playing Vanessa, the uptight woman who adopted Juno’s baby in the movie

The 50-year-old actress was reportedly immediately drawn to the 2007 indie film after reading the script. She told MTV: ‘It’s just this little independent movie that I absolutely fell in love with.’ She is seen in the movie

Garner, 50, may have a vast career spanning across decades, but she proved during the 2022 Oscars that she’ll always have an appreciation for Juno.

The 50-year-old actress was reportedly immediately drawn to the 2007 indie film after reading the script.

Since playing Vanessa, Garner has continued to be a major advocate for the film. She even showed support to her co-star, Page, when he came out as transgender. They are seen together in 2007

‘It’s just this little independent movie that I absolutely fell in love with,’ she told MTV News at the time.

She told the outlet that it took a long time for a director to become attached to the movie, but when Jason Reitman was chosen for the job, she was ‘thrilled’ because she had been wanting to be involved in the movie for a while.

She added that she was the one to suggest Bateman also join the flick, explaining, ‘I had been waiting for a director to come on board for a long time, and when Jason Reitman was the guy, I was thrilled because I had just been sitting around hoping to be offered the job. And when he got the movie and I got to do it, I said, “Let’s hire my friend Jason Bateman.”‘

While her character Vanessa, may have come across as rigid, she explained that her character’s strictness came from her strong desire to ‘do the right thing.’

‘There’s somebody I was basing it on who maybe came across as cold or controlling, but [she] was really just trying so hard to do the right thing,’ she told EW.

‘What happens in this movie forces the character to open up bit by bit. I think she just wants this baby, and she thinks the way to go about it is to be as appealingly Leave it to Beaver as possible. And she just forgets to add the human being in there.’

Since playing Vanessa, Garner has continued to be a major advocate for the film. She even showed support to her co-star, Page, when he came out as transgender.

‘Major, huge love to you, Elliot,’ Garner wrote on social media at the time.

Even though she’ll always have a soft spot for the film in her heart, that hasn’t stopped her from moving forward with her career and maintaining her status as an A-List actress.

Over the years, she has starred in numerous big movies and TV shows like Valentine’s Day in 2010, Dallas Buyers Club in 2013 (left), Love, Simon in 2018 (right), the HBO series Camping, and most recently, The Adam Project

She also stepped into the world of producing, and was behind the 2011 comedy Butter and the adventure flick Yes Day in 2021. She is seen in March

Over the years, she has starred in numerous big movies and TV shows like Valentine’s Day in 2010, Dallas Buyers Club in 2013, Love, Simon in 2018, the HBO series Camping, and most recently, The Adam Project, which premiered earlier this year.

She also stepped into the world of producing, and was behind the 2011 comedy Butter and the adventure flick Yes Day in 2021.

In 2015, she announced that she and her husband-of-10-years, Ben Affleck, were getting a divorce. They first started dating in 2003 after they filmed the movie Daredevil together.

The two tied the knot in June 2005 and welcomed their first daughter, Violet, months later in December 2005.  Their second daughter, Seraphina, came along four years after that. With two kids and six years of marriage under their belt, Garner seemed confident in their relationship in 2011.

‘I don’t know how or why it works as well as it does,’ she told InStyle of their marriage at the time. ‘Honestly, I would do anything for that man, because I know it’s not taken for granted.’

They welcomed their third child, Samuel, in February 2012 and shortly after that, it seemed the pair hit a rough patch.

‘All marriages, all relationships to a certain extent, require your work,’ Affleck stated in 2013. ‘Nobody’s perfect. I would be lying to you if I said that either she or I were.’

After they were spotted leaving couples therapy in 2016, a source disclosed there has been trouble in paradise.

Ultimately, they ended up finalizing their divorce in 2017. They are pictured together in 2014, one year before announcing their split

‘They were in couples therapy for years,’ an insider told Us Weekly at the time. ‘They were going to divorce when Sam was born but you know how it is — baby comes and solves the issues for a bit but it’s just a Band-Aid. It hasn’t been working for ages.’

Ultimately, they ended up finalizing their divorce in 2017.

Garner is now dating businessman John C. Miller, whom she first got with in 2018. The couple had a brief breakup in 2020, but got back together the next year. They are seen together earlier this year

‘After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce,’ they explained in a statement at the time.

‘We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to coparenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time.’

While the divorce seemed amicable, many were surprised when Affleck attributed his alcoholism to their marriage shortly after he rekindled his relationship with Jennifer Lopez.

‘That was part of why I started drinking alcohol – I was trapped,’ he Howard Stern in December 2021.

‘I was like, “I can’t leave because of my kids, but I am not happy. What do I do?” What I did was drink a bottle of scotch on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution.’

Regardless, the two seem to still be working hard to co-parent their children and are happy with their new respective partners.

Garner is now dating businessman John C. Miller, whom she first got with in 2018. The couple had a brief breakup in 2020, but got back together the next year.

‘Jen and John are serious,’ a source told Us Weekly after the news first broke about their romance. ‘They are totally set on a long-term future together.

‘They’ve taken their time to get this committed. John and Jen are in similar places in their lives and can relate to raising kids after a divorce. They’re on the same page and understand where things stand.’

Jason Bateman went on to land a bunch more roles, and recently had a winning year with his performance in Ozark

Since playing Vanessa’s failed rock star husband Mark in Juno, Jason Bateman (seen left in the movie and right in June), 53, has continued acting and is currently on everyone’s radar thanks to his performance in the Netflix hit Ozark

Like his co-star Garner, Bateman has continuously praised the film and its creative team over the last 15 years. He told MTV: ‘It’s a great kind of comedy/drama. It’s got some incredible dialogue.’ He is seen in the movie

After Juno, he moved on to a number of projects including the Will Smith-led flick Hancock, Couples Retreat (alongside Vince Vaughn), rom-com The Switch opposite Jennifer Aniston (seen), comedy flick Identity Theft, and Joel Edgerton’s The Gift

Since Juno, Bateman, 53, has continued acting and is currently on everyone’s radar thanks to his performance in the Netflix hit Ozark. Additionally he and his wife Amanda Anka, 50, are proud parents to Francesca, 12, and Maple, six.

In the 2007 movie, the actor played the rock ‘n roll wannabe Mark, who ends up developing feelings for Juno as she visits him and his wife to discuss adopting her baby.

Like his co-star Garner, Bateman has continuously praised the film and its creative team over the last 15 years.

‘It’s a great kind of comedy/drama,’ Bateman said of the film to MTV News. ‘As benign and bland as that sounds, it’s got some incredible dialogue.

‘Diablo Cody wrote the script, and Jason Reitman directs it, and he fills it with so much technique. He’s such a great director; his direction is a huge character in the movie, perhaps the star of the movie.’

During an interview with EW, he even expressed how he felt like he needed to ‘dress down’ his performance in order for the dialogue and direction to shine.

‘There’s so much style to the dialogue, I just thought probably the most invisible I can get as an actor, the better,’ he told the outlet.

‘Because I just know from going to watch movies myself – you know, it’s like putting an outfit together. If you want the shirt to pop, you have to dress down the pants. And you can’t wear a really funky pair of shoes.’

He also starred the 2018 Arrested Development (left) reboot – alongside his Juno co-star Cera and the Netflix drama Ozark (right), for which he won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series at the Screen Actors Guild Award

Additionally he and his wife Amanda Anka, 50, are proud parents to Francesca, 12, and Maple, six

Bateman (seen with Maple in 2020) recently commended his wife for being there for their kids while also working full-time. ‘I’m just floored by that. That keeps me grounded. That reminds me that I’ve got a real strong example to live up to,’ he gushed

After Juno, he moved on to a number of projects including the Will Smith-led flick Hancock, Couples Retreat (alongside Vince Vaughn), rom-com The Switch (opposite Jennifer Aniston), the thriller Disconnect, comedy flick Identity Theft, Joel Edgerton’s The Gift, and the 2018 Arrested Development reboot – alongside his Juno co-star Cera.

The two had previously met while filming the original Arrested Development, so there was plenty of hype around them being cast in Juno together.

‘We don’t have any scenes together,’ Bateman said of Cera, who played his son in the sitcom. ‘But I made sure I was on the set a few times to watch him do his scenes because I miss watching him do what he does. He’s so talented, and he does such a good job in this movie.

‘At one point we were joking that he would walk by in the background of a scene and I would do a double-take as if to be like, “I know that guy from somewhere.” But we never ended up doing that.’

He also starred and directed the Netflix drama Ozark, for which he won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series at the Screen Actors Guild Award. In addition, he launched his own podcast in 2020 alongside Will Arnett and Sean Hayes.

Bateman is happily married to actress Amanda, and he recently commended his wife for being there for their kids while also working full-time.

‘She’s got a full-time career herself, and she’s able to be a full-time mom, and she’s almost a full-time dad too,’ he gushed.

‘I’m just floored by that. So that keeps me grounded. That reminds me that I’ve got a real strong example to live up to.’

Allison Janney has launched a major career for herself, and the on-screen mom is fine with not having kids of her own at this point of her life

After starring in Juno, Janney publicly praised director Jason Reitman and writer Diablo Cody (seen together in 2007), gushing, ‘It was a wonderful experience I had’

After playing Juno’s step-mom, Brenda, Allison Janney, 63, made a career out of playing a TV mother on the CBS series Mom. Ironically, the recently single star isn’t a mom herself – which is perfectly fine with her.

Since playing Juno’s mother figure in the 2007 movie, Janney has had nothing but praise for the project – as well as for Page, whom she reunited with for the 2016 movie Tallulah. She and Page are seen together in Juno

After Mom ended, she discussed the possibility of having kids of her own at age 61 despite recently splitting from her partner Philip Joncas.

‘I think if I’d found the right guy at the right time and wanted to have kids, I probably would have with the right partner,’ she said on the Drew Barrymore Show in April 2021.

‘I wasn’t ever really confident that I wanted to have kids, and I would rather regret not having kids than have kids and regret it.

‘I really am at this time in my life getting to know who I am and what I want. So I’d love to eventually find someone to share my life with, but if it doesn’t happen, I think I’ll be just fine.’

Since playing Juno’s mother figure in the 2007 movie, Janney has had nothing but praise for the project – and for Page.

‘Oh my God, Elliot Page – having the best time with him on that movie,’ she said when asked about some of her favorite on set memories from making Juno earlier this year.

Aside from Juno and Tellulah, Janney also starred in The Help (left), The Way, Way Back, Tammy, The Rewrite, Spy, The Girl on the Train, Bad Education (right), Bombshell, Finding Nemo, Over the Hedge, and the Addams Family

Arguably one of her biggest roles was when she starred in the CBS sitcom Mom from 2013 to 2021

She also praised the creative team, adding: ‘And reading the script, Diablo Cody’s script was something that just was so, it was like nothing else I’d ever read before, and I knew it when I read it, I was excited to be a part of that, and Jason Reitman, the director’s extraordinary. It was a wonderful experience I had.’

Since Juno, the actress found herself working with Page again in the 2016 film Tallulah, and it seemed like the experience was just as incredible for her the second time around.

‘Ellen is a remarkable human being. Off-camera, when I am in her presence, she is more my mother,” she told WSJ in 2016, before Elliot changed his name and came out as transgender.

The feeling seemed to be mutual for Page, who tweeted at the time: ‘Working with the genius @allisonbjanney again #imlucky @tallulahmovie.’

Aside from Juno and Tellulah, Janney also starred in The Help, The Way, Way Back, Tammy, The Rewrite, Spy, The Girl on the Train, Bad Education, Bombshell, Finding Nemo, Over the Hedge, and the Addams Family.

Arguably one of her biggest roles was when she starred in Mom from 2013 to 2021. And even though the show had an impressive eight-season run, she was shocked by the show’s cancellation last year.

After Mom ended, she discussed the possibility of having kids of her own at age 61 despite recently splitting from her partner Philip Joncas. The former couple is seen together in 2006

‘I wasn’t ever really confident that I wanted to have kids, and I would rather regret not having kids than have kids and regret it,’ she said. ‘I really am at this time in my life getting to know who I am and what I want.’ She and her ex are seen in 2016

The drama started at the top of season eight, when her co-star Anna Faris abruptly quit the show in September 2020.

The actress recently made the decision to embrace her gray hair color – something she certainly doesn’t regret. She gushed: ‘I cannot tell you how amazing it is to feel free. Free from hair color and hair extensions’

‘Yeah, it was very odd and she’s very missed. Anna is missed and her character on the show is missed,’ she told E! News at the time.

Preparing for the season’s premiere in February 2021, Janney appeared on The Ellen Show and said she held no grudge over Faris’ sudden exit.

‘We’re just happy that she’s doing what she wants to do now, and we’re happy even more so that we’re able to still tell these stories about these great women in recovery,’ she told DeGeneres.

However, just a month later, the cast found out Mom had been canceled and would not get a season nine.

Janney later said she has her own theories about why it ended, explaining that she believed the show’s cancelation ‘probably’ had to with ‘money.’

The actress recently made the decision to embrace her gray hair color – something she certainly doesn’t regret.

‘I cannot tell you how amazing it is to feel free. Free from hair color and hair extensions and hair tape and blah blah blah,’ she said on the show.

J.K. Simmons went through an incredible physical transformation since starring in Juno

Like his other co-stars, Simmons (seen left in the movie and right in April), 67, still speaks fondly of his time on the movie. He played Juno’s father and has continuously gushed about working with Elliot

‘I had an awesome time working on Juno, Elliot’s been one of my favorite actors to watch since then, and a wonderful actor to work with,’ Simmons previously told Yahoo Entertainment. He is seen in the movie

Simmons, 67, went through a major physical transformation since starring in Juno 15 years ago. And like his other co-stars, he still speaks fondly of his time on the movie.

‘I had an awesome time working on Juno, Elliot’s been one of my favorite actors to watch since then, and a wonderful actor to work with,’ Simmons previously told Yahoo Entertainment.

He also spoke positively about Elliot’s transition, adding to the outlet: ‘It’s been great to watch that happen.’

He noted Page was already a star before his transition, but said he has now become ‘iconic in a new way’ and praised him for being ‘a positive influence for a lot of people.’

After Juno, Simmons went on to star in the movie Whiplash, and his performance in the 2014 film landed him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

At first, the actor wasn’t going to attend the prestigious award ceremony but it was actually Juno director Reitman who convinced him otherwise.

‘I was like, “Yeah, no. Not interested. Thanks. I’ll be at home with my wife and kids or working on whatever is next,”‘ he said on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast of attending the Oscars. ‘I really had to kinda get talked into it, and it was Jason Reitman.

‘He goes, “Everyone you’ve known your whole life, from your best friend in second grade before you moved away from Detroit to your fourth cousins, all of those people are going to be so excited and so thrilled for you. The people you were doing theater with in Buffalo in 1970.”

‘That really sunk into me, and my wife and I had a long heart-to-heart, because it’s a whole thing, the whole awards season. It’s like a real gauntlet that you have to commit to.’

Unfortunately, accepting his Academy award didn’t go as smoothly as he had hoped. While accepting the award from Lupita Nyong’o, he accidentally head butted her.

‘Lupita Nyong’o was going to hand me the trophy and I reach out with one hand to take the trophy, and I reach out with the other hand to shake her hand, like we’re two dudes making a business deal, and then I realized, “Oh no, it’s Hollywood. You’re supposed to do the fake kiss on the cheek.”‘ he continued.

‘So, I kind of awkwardly go in for the fake kiss on the cheek thing, and I gave her a little of a head butt. But [thankfully] not enough to take her down.’

He has since recovered from the embarrassing moment and has continued with his impressive career. He also acted in La La Land in 2016, the DC movie Justice League, the 2021 biographical drama Being the Ricardos, several of the Spider-Man movies, the series Law & Order, HBO’s Oz, and the Amazon Prime sci-fi series Night Sky.

One of his most impressive feats is how ripped he got ahead of his 2017 Justice League film, and he later explained that he made the decision to get in shape for the sake of his health. Simmons is seen left in 2016 and right in 2008

Simmons and his wife, Michelle Schumacher, have welcomed two children over the years – a daughter, named Olivia, and a son, named Joe. They are seen together in December 2021

One of his most impressive feats is how ripped he got ahead of his 2017 Justice League film, and he later explained that he made the decision to get in shape for the sake of his health.

‘After the second and final time that I got hugely fat in my life and when I lost that weight six or seven years ago, I pretty much decided that I was going to stay in decent shape for the rest of my life,’ he said.

In 2016, his trainer disclosed to DailyMail.com how Simmons got in shape by doing ‘unilateral movements with dumbbells.’

‘He’s doing such a good job of being disciplined and staying dedicated to doing something he hasn’t done before with his physique,’ said his trainer.

‘He’s ripped. His motivating factor with a lot of it is to do something with his arms and shoulders to be able to possibly down the road play a character who can wear a tank-top.’
