ASDA is giving away huge boxes of vegetables to customers after they were left over from Christmas.
Pallets of free vegetables have been spotted in various Asda stores across the country in cities such as Sheffield, Newcastle, Leeds and Edinburgh – and shoppers are making the most of it.
Customers can get their hands on Brussels sprouts, parsnips, carrots and broccoli in stores only – and they won't cost you a penny.
A picture shared by a user in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook showed huge boxes of vegetables up for grabs in Asda's store in South Shields.
Shop bossed had labelled the goodies with a sign saying "Free to a good home!"
It also read: "Have this one on us!"
An Asda store in Glasgow is also giving away similar boxes full of free vegetables.
A post on Facebook with a picture of all the goods on offer at the store has gone viral after being liked and shared thousands of times since it was uploaded on Boxing Day.
It is not yet clear exactly which Asda stores are offering free vegetables, so we'd recommend contacting your local store for any details – you can find their opening times over the festive period here.
Morrisons has also been spotted giving away free bread.
But some shoppers say the freebies should be given to those who need it the most, and not just given out for free.
One Facebook user said: "They should give it to charity."
Another commented: "It should be given to the homeless or food banks."
The Sun has contacted Asda, which said there's a limit to how much food it can donate due to restrictions in storage facilities.
But it added that it's made a £20million investment to help charities increase their facilities.
Through the Asda Fight Hunger Create Change campaign, it also supports FareShare and Trussel Trust charities in giving out 500,000 additional meals each year for people in need, a spokesman said.
