Doting grandparents Bill and Melinda Gates just met their first grandchild for the first time.
“I can’t wait to watch you discover the world,” Bill, 67, captioned a photo of himself holding the newborn on Instagram Thursday.
The billionaire businessman is seen in the pic wearing a navy blue sweatshirt and pants and playfully touching his grandkid’s tiny fingers.
The baby girl, who is the daughter of Bill and Melinda’s oldest daughter Jennifer Gates and equestrian Nayel Nassar, appears dressed in an adorable pink onesie.
Melinda, 58, also shared a snap of herself holding her granddaughter on Instagram Thursday.
The philanthropist wrote in the caption, “There is nothing quite like holding your first grandchild ?”
“It seems like just yesterday I was holding Jenn at this age,” she added.
“Now she has a baby of her own—and I am bursting with pride watching her and Nayel step into their new role as parents.”
Melinda is seen in her photo wearing an orange sweater and black pants as she smiles to the camera and holds her grandchild close to her chest.

It is unclear whether Bill and Melinda, whose divorce was finalized in August 2021 after 27 years of marriage, went to visit their granddaughter at the same time. However, their pictures were uploaded to social media simultaneously.
Jennifer, 26, announced on March 4 that she and her husband had welcomed their first child.
“sending love from our healthy little family ???,” she captioned a photo of the couple holding their baby girl’s feet.
Jennifer posted another photo Thursday of herself laughing as she looks down at her daughter. She simply captioned the pic with a pink flower emoji and a sparkle emoji.
Jennifer and Nassar, 32, tied the knot at her $16 million Westchester horse farm in New York in October 2021.
The extravagant nuptials, which reportedly cost $2 million, was the first time that Bill and Melinda were seen together in public since their divorce earlier that year.
Aside from Jennifer, the former couple also shares a son, Rory, 23, and another daughter, Phoebe, 20.
