Egg chair from popular high street retailer urgently recalled due to 'risk of injury' | The Sun

A HIGH-STREET store has issued a warning to customers who bought its garden furniture.

TK Maxx has recalled its hanging egg chair due to "risk of injury" to customers.

The retail giant has released a statement advising customers who bought a particular outdoor chair to return to stores immediately.

It said: "We have identified a quality issue with the Gardener’s Eden Blue Egg Chair.

"It is possible for the chair to tip over or collapse during use which may cause an injury.

"This issue does not affect any other styles of hanging chairs."

What are my rights to a refund?

If you're returning a recalled product, your rights to getting a refund depends on whether the fault makes the product unsafe.

Sometimes the business will repair the product, for example by fitting a new part. But this should be done for you.

If a fault makes a product unsafe to use — and it's difficult to correct the fault — the Consumer Guarantees Act says you might have the right to reject the product and claim a replacement or a refund.

You can read more about your rights concerning a recalled product in our guide.
