Former ‘RHONY’ star Barbara Kavovit enters NYC mayoral race

Former “Real Housewives of New York City” star Barbara Kavovit is running for mayor for the second time, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

“Damn straight I’m running for mayor again,” Kavovit, 56, told us Wednesday night during a Seeking event at the Baccarat Hotel.

Kavovit, who entered the mayoral race in January 2021 prior to the November election, told Page Six in a statement that the “city is in trouble” and that current Mayor Eric Adams is “clueless.”

“We have safety issues on our streets and within our transportation system, our streets are the homes of our homeless,” she continued.

“Our business community is under attack. We need to protect our economy and our city’s real estate and construction industries.

“We are losing police officers at a record rate, and people are leaving because they don’t want to be here. … We need more money in our budget for police officers, now more than ever.”

Kavovit, who has not previously held public office, is the CEO of Evergreen Construction, a New York City-based company she founded when she was 21 years old.

“The city doesn’t need another politician, they need someone like me who will use their business skills to make changes to these problems,” she continued.

The former Bravolebrity, who appeared as Luann de Lesseps’ friend during Season 11 in 2019, did not qualify for ballot access but was a write-in candidate for the 2021 election.

The next election is slated for fall of 2025.

In the meantime, Kavovit is launching an NFT membership platform called FemEO for women to learn about becoming leaders and moguls in the business world.
