A 22-year-old woman who was looking for a sugar daddy has started dating a man older than both of her parents.
Alyssa Gutierrez and her partner Peter, 56, a professional sports gambler, from Las Vegas, Nevada, were introduced on a sugar daddy dating website.
Hairstylist Alyssa joined three days after her 20th birthday aiming to find an older man who would spoil her financially and act like a gentleman.
But since entering a relationship, Alyssa insists the pairing is not just about money.
‘I have always been attracted to older men, older guys in general, so it really isn’t anything new to me,’ Alyssa said.
‘Ever since I was little I always knew, I had crushes on my dad’s friends or older brother’s friends, though Peter is the oldest guy I’ve been in a relationship with.’
The couple, who hope to get engaged in 2021, have been together for three years.
Peter, who is divorced, made the first move, asking Alyssa out for dinner at a fancy restaurant.
Peter also has experience dating young women but says his relationship with Alyssa is different.
He said: ‘Alyssa is such a kind person, and wasn’t trying to take advantage of my wealth like many other girls.
‘You can’t buy Alyssa’s love or affection – she is just so real.’
Soon after they met, Peter offered the hairstylist a room in his high-rise condo and the pair have been inseparable ever since.
Alyssa chose to keep their relationship secret for the first year and a half, as she was sceptical about what those around her would think, but now shows off her relationship with pride.
Eventually Alyssa’s parents were okay with the relationship. But Peter’s family posed a challenge as his daughter is the same age as Alyssa and his son two years younger.
Alyssa claims one of the reasons their relationship works so well is because, as an older gentleman, Peter knows how to treat a woman.
She said: ‘It’s nice to have a mentor: he can help me with situations or problems I’m having or guide me in the right directions.
‘Communication is where I lack sometimes but being with him, my/our communication has really grown strong.
‘Obviously, we have great sex. He knows how to please me, though that’s not to say I haven’t taught him a couple of things.’
Peter added: ‘I just get along so well with Alyssa – there is such strong physical and emotional chemistry.
‘She keeps me motivated to enjoy life, special occasions, travelling, and staying physically fit.
‘I did not expect or desire to have a long-term relationship with such a young girl, it just happened.’
The couple often get funny looks while out but no longer take any notice.
And there are wedding bells chiming for the future.
Alyssa said: ‘We plan on marriage, we’ll hopefully be engaged this year.
‘Without Covid-19 going on it probably would have been sooner, he loves to tell me how we should just go to the chapel and elope.
‘But of course, this is my first marriage, I want to have the whole experience.
‘We do talk about kids too, but I’d like to be set in my career path before children. I’m thinking when I’m around 25 or so.’
The couple, who have planned a trip to Cabo, Mexico for Valentine’s Day, regularly share their life on TikTok with their 72,800 followers.
Alyssa added: ‘There are lots of supporters who do admire us for being so public and open about our age gap relationship, there is a whole community of age gapers, it actually becoming way more common than people think.
‘Also, it’s really a beautiful thing to see girls coming to me for advice, tips and how to help with them with being in similar relationships, and of course, you have that other 15% of haters and trolls.
‘On TikTok, they will mostly joke “is that your dad?” and “I don’t do that with my father”.
‘A lot of haters say I have “daddy issues”, when in reality I have a great relationship with my father.
‘Do what you want and date whomever you want, as long as you’re happy that’s all that matters.
‘I really love this man, I absolutely can’t wait to continue our story and watch our lives grow together.’
