Glamorous Spanish tennis star Garbine Muguruza has been wooed by jet-setting Tom Ford designer Arthur Borges – just months after he announced the end of his marriage to top Finnish figure skater Kiira Korpi.

One-time Wimbledon and French Open champion Muguruza, 28, posed for photos with handsome Borges, a New York-based designer, after winning a recent WTA tournament in Mexico – and Borges has since been sharing romantic photos of the apparent new couple from a five-star resort in Anguilla. 

Muguruza’s has manager confirmed to MailOnline that the pair are dating. 

Borges, 37, who is Director of Made to Measure North America (Tom Ford), recently split from his partner of 11 years, Finnish figure skater Korpi, who’s known to her fans as the ‘Ice Princess’ – the pair announced their marriage was over in June.

Romance: While the tennis star hasn’t yet posted of herself and Borges to her own Instagram account, she did share a short clip of what appears to be the couple enjoying a sunset while staying at the lavish Cap Juluca resort on Anguilla

Meanwhile, fun-loving tennis star Muguruza, who toasted her Mexico victory with tequila and frequently shares videos of her Latino dancing to her 886,000 followers on Instagram, has seen her tennis career soar in recent months – rising to number three in the world.

Borges and Korpi, who wed in a lavish ceremony in 2017, announced they were separating in early summer, telling her 91,400 followers on Instagram: ‘Our journey together as a couple has come to an end. 

‘Eleven wonderful years together has taught us a lot. We have enjoyed our life together and we’re grateful for our beautiful friendship which we will certainly continue to cherish.’ 

Korpi enjoys huge popularity in her native Finland, where she’s known as ‘jääprinsessa’ – the Ice Princess.  

A recent match at the Chicago Fall Tennis Classic at the end of September saw Borges taking his place in the player’s box alongside Muguruza’s team. 

Earlier this month, Garbine and Arthur posed for a photo after she won the 2021 Akron WTA Finals in Mexico

In June, Arthur and Kiira announced their marriage had ended, telling her 91,400 followers on Instagram: ‘Our journey together as a couple has come to an end.’

According to womenstennisblog.com, the handsome fashion executive removed photos of his time with his former wife from his Instagram page around the same time as the tournament in Chicago. 

The tennis star, who won the French Open in 2016 and Wimbledon a year later, has been private until now about her personal life. 

On the court, her career has rejuvenated in 2021, after she found a rich vein of form that saw her scoop her first WTA Finals title in mid November, after she defeated Estonian Anett Kontaveit 6-3, 7-5 in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The win saw the Spaniard rise to third in the world rankings following the victory.   

She told reporters: ‘This is just another proof that I think I’m actually in the best moment of my career,’ Muguruza said, adding that she will be celebrating with some Tequila.

‘The experience I have now, the tennis, the way I handle myself, I think it’s actually much better than before.’
