Aussie cricketer Matthew Wade and his wife Julia are heading into a new chapter.

The couple have sold their luxurious, industrial-style family home at 23 Talune Street in the Hobart suburb of Lindisfarne for $2,225,000.

Listed by David McLeod and Daniel ten Broeke of Petrusma Property Sandy Bay, the five-bedroom, three-bathroom abode is like being on holidays every day with its resort-style amenities.

Wade has represented the country in all three formats of international cricket. He plays domestic cricket for the Hobart Hurricanes in Twenty20, as well as for the Tasmanian cricket team.

Built in 2019, the home takes on an industrial feel with its tree-lined concrete driveway, sleek black exterior and glass pivot front door.

Interiors feature polished concrete floors, custom-made steel glass doors and windows, vaulted ceilings, exposed brick walls, sheer drapes and pendant lights.

The kitchen is dramatic with its black tone and offers a generously sized island bench.

Entertaining is at the forefront of the home, with a pool, outdoor kitchen and sunken lounge area in the landscaped backyard.

There is also a home theatre with bar, a rumpus room that could be made into a home office, as well as a top-notch gym with mirrored walls and rubber matting.

Should the buyer be a boat enthusiast, they can make use of the property’s boat shed, which could also be transformed into additional accommodation.

Lindisfarne is a suburb of Hobart, approximately 6 kilometres from the CBD on the other side of the River Derwent. It’s a short walk to shops, cafes and parks.
