I can't trust lying husband who gets angry when I confront him about his affairs

DEAR DEIDRE: MY husband is a compulsive liar, who has cheated on me throughout our marriage by having online affairs.

I’m a woman of 33, he is 34 and we have been together for five years, married for three.

My husband lies about everything until he is caught out. Stupidly, I have always forgiven him and taken him back.

I have a chronic illness and two children with special needs to look after.

When I say he does nothing to help me, he says, “I do the washing up”. I’m tired of having to ask for “help”.

He never does anything of his own initiative.

If I try to talk about my concerns, he shouts at me. I am starting to hate his guts.

DEIDRE SAYS: Even if your children have not said anything, they will be picking up on the tension, which is damaging for them.

Although you have tried to talk to your husband in the past, you need to pick a moment to try again so he understands how desperate you are.

Try to stay calm so it does not turn into a row.
