DEAR DEIDRE: A WOMAN at work has me in turmoil. I’m 48 and happily married – or so I thought.
Then this woman started working in the same department as me. We hit it off and messaged each other every day. She’s 43 and married too.
The chats were just funny at first. We swapped stories and I saw us as just good friends.
Then she went on holiday for two weeks in the summer and we were texting each other non-stop. I could feel the connection and felt guilty but talking to her felt right.
After she got back, she messaged saying, “We can’t talk again,” and blocked me.
Then she came off social media altogether. I feel guilty but my feelings are strong. I can’t stop thinking about her.
DEIDRE SAYS: Clearly there can be nothing between you, which is probably for the best.
Instead, pour fresh energy into your marriage. Your poor wife may well be wondering what is happening.
Don’t risk losing her too. My e-leaflet Your Relationship MoT will help.
