Iceland and The Range cause frenzy with 1.3kg bargain boxes of broken biscuits

Shoppers are currently going wild for a bargain box of broken biscuits.

With the current UK lockdown still in place, there are not many things around to brighten the day.

But it seems the box of treats, which are sold at Iceland and The Range, has got food fans excited.

The biscuits have gone viral online this week, with one shopper describing them as "the most amazing thing".

Bargain-hunters and users of social media site TikTok have revealed they're all dying to get their hands on a box.

The biscuit box weighs a hefty 1.3kg and includes classic favourites such as Rocky bars, Digestives and Bourbons.

Biscuit-lovers have also found chocolate chip cookies, Party Rings and Jammie Dodgers inside theirs.

The only catch is however, is that they're all broken.

However, if you're willing to look past that, then you can definitely bag yourself a bargain.

Iceland is selling the box for £3, however the biscuits are even cheaper at The Range, with a £2.99 price tag.

The broken biscuit box has been sold by House of Lancaster for more than 25 years.

Each biccie has got some sort of imperfection, which means it can't be sold as normal.

This imperfection could be a leaked filling, wonky pattern or a crumbled corner.

Despite the broken biscuits being sold for decades, they've surged in popularity since one TikTok user shared a video of them recently.

The clip by Bryony Anne Harris has racked up more than 250,000 views which sees her delving in to her "cheeky box".

After finding almost half a packet's worth of Digestives, she exclaims: "Yes please honey" before also discovering what she calls "Gary Baldings" – also known as a Garibaldi normally.

Hundreds of other TikTok users have managed to find boxes after the original video and are now loving their broken biscuits.
