Just when you thought that Killing Eve star Jodie Comer couldn’t get any cooler, she’s only gone and jumped on one of the biggest haircut trends of the moment, the octopus haircut.
For the uninitiated, this style is similar to the wolf cut in that it’s kind of a modern take on the mullet, characterised by lots of choppy layers that add weight while still maintaining the hair’s overall length thanks to longer layers underneath – and it looks like Jodie jumped on the very layered bandwagon at her latest hair appointment.
Taking to Instagram, the 29 year old posted a photo to her 2.3 million followers in partnership with skincare brand Noble Panacea, for whom she is an ambassador – and also unveiled the brand new shaggy haircut at the same time, which has a real “octopus” feel to us.
“Kitchen cuts with @sammcknight1 round 2!” she ended the caption of her grid post along with the scissors emoji, tagging in the legendary hairdresser – and naturally, her fans are already loving the style.
"New hair! Love it," one enthusiastically commented, as another fan agreed, "Amazing cut!"
Meanwhile a third follower wrote, "Beauty @jodiemcomer cool haircut too," as a fourth hailed the star’s new look "fierce".
Jodie first made her hairstyle a lot shaggier (in what you might call the first instalment of “kitchen cuts”) back in February, when Sam McKnight chopped her hair into a long bob, saying she left his kitchen “inches lighter”.
After ditching her lengthy hair the star’s venture into shorter hair was complete with seventies-inspired curtain bangs, which perfectly enhanced her killer bone structure.
Sam, who was famously hairdresser to the late Princess Diana, shared a look at the star’s new ‘do on Instagram, writing, “Jodie gets the chop! The divine @jodiemcomer left my kitchen a few inches lighter this evening.”
