Laverne Cox is living proof that age is only a number.
The “Orange Is the New Black” actress rang in her 50th birthday on May 29, and celebrated by turning the pool deck into her own personal runway.
“50…This what it look like. Happy birthday to me,” Cox captioned an Instagram clip of herself strutting in a baroque-print bikini top ($425) and bottom ($425) from the buzzy Fendi x Versace collaboration, adding the hashtags #TransIsBeautiful, #ProtectTransKids and #Fendace.
The “Inventing Anna” star styled her itty-bitty swimsuit with a sheer, floor-sweeping cover-up and mesh high heels for a little added glam.
Model Lily Aldridge, catwalk coach Miss J Alexander and “Pose” star Dominique Jackson were among the many who wished Cox a happy birthday in the comments.
It’s been a big month for Cox; she recently got her own Barbie, marking the first time Mattel has released a doll made in the likeness of a transgender person.
The actress even helped design her mini-me’s ensemble, a sparkly silver catsuit layered beneath a burgundy corset and long, sheer skirt in the same shade.
“I wanted to do multiple outfits. But to make it cost-effective — $40 retail — we could only do one look,” Cox told E! News’ “Daily Pop.”
“I was like, ‘What if we did a look that peeled?’” she continued. “She gives you a catsuit fantasy, honey. Transgender Barbie is in effect. She’s giving you looks. She’s giving you everything.”
And Cox gave her fans everything, too, when she dressed in the same outfit as her doll for a blowout 50th birthday party at the Moxy Times Square hotel rooftop last week.
