A father was left outraged when his family received a measly three pieces of meat and some orange juice after they ordered a 30-piece chicken bucket from KFC on Deliveroo.
Steve Hunt, from Norwich, was excited for the celebratory meal, which he decided to splash out for after getting a new job as a wellbeing coordinator.
The family-of-four said they were ‘starving’ with their mouths ‘watering at the prospect of a delivery from the Colonel’.
However, Steve, 48, his wife Syreeta and their children – Myro, 15, and Sonny, 12 – were deeply disappointed by the ‘burnt scraps’ they got, alongside a beverage they didn’t even order.

The £36.99 Matchday Party Bucket was meant to contain 30 pieces of chicken – a 14-piece party bucket along with 8 mini fillets and 8 hot wings – and a large portion of popcorn chicken.
It was also meant to come with six portions of fries, a large tub of coleslaw, a large serving of gravy, and a 1.5-litre bottle of Pepsi.
To make matters worse, Steve said that after contacting KFC and Deliveroo, he was told that no refund or new order would be possible as his had already ‘been fulfilled’.
He explained that the portion was so tawdry, his wife initially thought he’d ended up just ordering the meal for himself.

‘I had just got a new job and we were celebrating with a KFC,’ Steve revealed. ‘I went through and looked at the bucket – which has three bits of chicken in it and a couple of burnt scraps.
‘I went to open the bag and all that was there was a tiny bottle of orange juice, which we hadn’t even ordered.’
He added: ‘Where were the other 27 bits of chicken, the popcorn chicken, the fries, the gravy, the coleslaw, the Pepsi?’
The family decided to snub KFC and ordered a McDonald’s instead – having to fork out another £30.

Steve admitted he feels that ‘Colonel Sanders has really let us down’, dubbing the experience ‘the worst culinary miscarriage of justice of all time’.
A spokesman for Deliveroo apologised to Steve and his family, giving them a full refund as well as £50 in credit.
The spokesman said: ‘We’re sorry to hear that Mr Hunt didn’t have a great experience with his order. We’ve now refunded Mr Hunt and apologise for the disappointment – and would like to wish him all the best in his new job.’
A KFC spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We’re really sorry that Steve and his family were disappointed with their order, this is certainly not up to the Colonel’s high standards, we’ll check in with the team to see what happened and make sure this doesn’t happen again.
‘Our partners at Deliveroo have offered Steve and his family a full refund and a £50 voucher to help make things right.’
