Competitors in the Brazilian beauty pageant Miss BumBum have taken on a challenge to raise awareness of how much water we use up.
The environmentally-based bucket challenge tasks people to use just one bucket of water for all their needs for 24 hours.
Miss BumBum participants, who are competing for the title of best butt in Brazil, shared some saucy snaps of their time doing the challenge.
And, as the theme of the 2021 pageant is “what can you do for your planet” all of the 27 contestants will be carrying out actions which help to promote the preservation of the environment.
As today, March 22, is World Water Day the campaign is to “raise awareness about the conscious use of water.”
Singer MC Bragança, a candidate for the state of Paraná, said: “It is very difficult, you start to understand the importance of water in your life.”
According to the National Trust, the average person in the UK uses 150 litres of water every day.
That’s a lot more than a bucket…
Carol Abranches, who will represent Rio de Janeiro, added: “It was one of the most difficult things in my life.
“I believe that this challenge has changed the way I think, after all it took me more than 20 minutes in a bath.”
Fellow beauties taking part in the challenge include Cassia Mello, representing the Amazon, who recently shared some saucy snaps to raise money for the preservation of the rainforest.
And, the women have also been raising awareness of the importance of vaccination.
In a bid to encourage the country to take the jab, the models have inked the words "vaccinate here" on their bums.
Leila Dantas, representative of the state of Piauí, said: "We want everyone to be vaccinated."
