New anti-flatulence bedding filters bad smells to improve your sleep experience

If you’ve ever suffered with gastric issues, or have a partner who lets rip every night, then you’ll know it can be unpleasant to wake up to bad smells in the night.

If your bedtime peace is affected by an abundance of farts then a nifty new product could be the perfect solution for you.

Shreddies, the brand behind anti-flatulence underwear not to be confused with the cereal, has announced its innovative new anti-wind bedding.

The carbon undershoot and duvet filter built into the linens have carbon panels which trap bad smells and help those with excessive farts to sleep, reports Ladbible.

And, of course, their bedmates too…

According to the company, The Flatulence Filtering Duvet Cover traps gas before it escapes the duvet and makes its way to your nostrils.

All you have to do is pop your own duvet into the special cover and your wind will be filtered discreetly all night long.

A spokesperson for the company said: "Both products use the same technology found in our award winning underwear, the highly porous carbon acts as an adsorbent which attracts and traps flatulence odours and is simply reactivated when washed.

“These brand new products are the latest in a long line of successful odour eliminating products that Shreddies brand is known for including their patented underwear, undershorts, cushions and odour eliminating bags."

According to Shreddies, the average person will pass gas between 14 and 20 times every single day.

But, some people have excessive wind at night because they’re lying down.

Apparently, the gas gathers inside the colon at this time and comes out in powerful bursts instead of a bit of a time like it would in the day.

They said: "Throughout the night this gas is released and can cause an unsettled night's sleep and an unpleasant odour.

"We know from speaking to our customers that bad flatulence at night can drive spouses from their marital bed."
