People in stitches as mum’s Easter ‘bunny’ cake blunder looks like ‘pig demon’

Easter celebrations have been in full swing over the weekend, where families have huddled up to spend some quality time together.

So when Johnna Scrabis took a trip to her mum’s house, she most likely expected an Easter bunny cake as is tradition for their family.

Sadly though, this year's festive treat looked a little different than usual – even though the mum ordered a sponge from the same shop.

Johnna took to Twitter to share how baffled she was over the cake that did not look like a bunny at all.

She explained: “Extremely important. I am at my mum's house for Easter and a "bunny" cake was purchased. I am 100% certain that this is no bunny… but… what… IS it?”

Johnna shared the Easter bunny cakes that were bought in 2020 and 2021 and they both resembled a classic Easter bunny.

However, for this year's celebration – not so much.

The iced cake appeared to look more like a ‘pig’ than a rabbit as it had a large pink ‘snout’.

Instead of elongated ears, the ‘bunny’ cake had short ears made with blue, white and pink swirly icing.

The cake also featured some bulging blue eyes that appeared to have melted onto the rest of the ‘bunny’s’ face and a pair of menacing eyebrows.

To finish off the questionable looking cake, the baker included a huge pink and red mouth that sat just below the ‘snout’ and stretched the whole way around the front of the animal's face.

Puzzled as to what the ‘bunny’ cake is supposed to be, many people fled to the comments to air their opinions – and fear of the unusual looking sponge.

One person giggled: “It's a cry for help. The baker is being held again their will.”

Another user added: “Just thinking about the swelling panic as the baker got into deeper and deeper s*** decorating this.”

While a third person voiced: “It’s a pig demon."

Someone else shared: “I’m not sure, but I’m a little frightened.”

And, a fifth person chuckled: “Is it… is it a pig?”
