Real Beauty Awards 2021 uncovers ‘botox effect’ creams and ‘advert skin’ serums

Want to know how to get younger, smoother, glowier skin? The results of this year’s Real Beauty Awards are in, with hundreds of real women putting the hottest new products to the real world test.

To find out what’s really worth spending your money on, the OK! beauty team handpicked over 140 skin launches, from high end to high street. We then sent each product to five of our testers to try for a month before giving their 100% honest verdict.

We call this The Real Beauty Awards because every single accolade is given out purely on our testers’ reviews, nothing else. And wow, did they discover some amazing new products this year.

“I look at least five years younger. My friends said I looked amazing and actually asked if I had any botox done recently!” raved one tester of our winning premium night cream, Meder Beauty Circa-Night Cream, £98 here.

Meanwhile, the hugely-anticipated Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial, £67 here, more than lived up to the hype to scoop best premium facial exfoliant. One tester of this DIY mini peel told us: “It immediately gave the same glow as an in-salon facial. It's a bit like an Instagram filter in a bottle!”

And it wasn’t just the high-end brands that impressed. High street favourite Nivea scooped best mass market serum with its Cellular Luminous 630 Anti Dark Spot Serum, £29.99 here, which tackled ageing from all angles.

“My skin looks plumper, smoother and dare I say younger looking. My skin tone is more even. I feel my skin is fuller and less wrinkled,” raved one delighted tester.

Meanwhile PRAI X M&S MenoGlow Collagen Boosting CremeGel Moisturiser, £25 here, was hailed a “game changer” for menopausal skin. “Honestly it was like glass skin from the adverts, I have never seen my skin looking so good,” according to one tester.

Beauty Pie was another stand-out brand this year, with testers impressed by its promise of delivering prestige skincare at cost price – well worth signing up as a member, we think!

Its Triple Hyaluronic Acid Elastic Lifting Eye Serum, £14.23 here for members, won best mass market eye product. “After a month it's made such a positive difference. Deeper lines were considerably improved, I had a more wide awake look,” said one happy tester.

Keep an eye on OK! Beauty this week as we'll be sharing our Real Beauty Awards 2021 winners for day creams, night creams, serums, eye creams, face masks, radiance boosters, exfoliating facials and eye make-up removers.

We’re also looking for more testers to join our panel and try beauty products for free. You can sign up right here!
