Sister-in-law ghosted me when I announced I was pregnant | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: MY sister-in-law has ghosted me since I announced I was pregnant with my first child.

I feel so hurt and I’m not sure what her problem is.

We have been best friends since we met, but now she wants nothing to do with me. I’m 29 and she’s 34.

A couple of months ago she announced she was pregnant with her third child. I was over the moon for her.

I did everything I could to support her. I accompanied her to her scans, helped her with shopping, and even babysat when she needed it.

Yet since I fell pregnant there has been complete radio silence.

I can’t understand what I’ve done. Surely she should be happy for me.

DEIDRE SAYS: It is very possible that she could be feeling fed-up with her own pregnancy and is projecting her feelings on to you.

She might not know how to handle you being happy about your baby.

However, there is no way to truly understand why she is acting this way without talking to her.

Ask to speak and explain how you were looking forward to sharing your pregnancy news and wonder if there is something wrong.

I’m attaching my support pack Rows With Friends? which will help.
