American pop superstar Taylor Swift will visit Australia next year for five major concerts in Sydney and Melbourne as a part of her world tour.

In a social media post on Wednesday morning, Swift unveiled international dates for The Eras Tour, including Australian shows in February. Swift will perform two shows at the MCG – likely to draw a crowd close to 100,000 – then three at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, with a regular capacity of about 83,500.

The Australian shows will also feature a performance from American singer – and actress – Sabrina Carpenter.

Swift, one of the biggest music superstars in the world, has more than 90 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has produced hits such as Blank Space and Anti-Hero.

Swift will perform 50 shows across the world from August until her final show in August 2024.

Alongside Australia, she will travel to Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Singapore, France, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland in her whirlwind tour.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 30 and cost between $79.90 and $379.90 with a limit of four per customer on Ticketek – plus handling charges.

Early access for American Express and Frontier members is available next Monday and Wednesday, respectively. The most expensive VIP package with additional merchandise costs $1249.90.
