Two years later, after multiple delays, he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor domestic violence and was ordered to 12-month probation. In Oct. 2019, he began dating dental assistant and phlebotomist Keira Brinegar Tibbs, who has two children from a previous relationship, and he proposed in Sept. 2020.
She honored him after his death by posting a couple of pictures of them on Facebook, captioning it, “Eric, I will love you until my last breath…. please wait for me until then. I love you more.”
