Love Love Island? Our Factor 50 email brings all the goss direct to your inbox
As excitement builds for the new series of Love Island, it’s only natural that our thoughts turn to past couples and wonder what ever happened to them.
The first ever winners back in 2015 were Jessica Hayes and Max Morley, who despite some ups and downs, won the hearts of the viewers and were crowned victorious.
The pair were a surprise success on the night of the final, just pipping favourites Hannah Elizabeth and Jonathon Clark to the top spot.
It was never plain sailing in the sunshine villa for Jess, who endured her fair share of rows and controversies, particularly with show rival Naomi Ball.
Max and Jess were almost never a couple after Naomi moved in on Jess’ man for a brief period.
But when Naomi was dumped off the show, the eventual winners got back together and went on to have a happy ending.
Well, for a short time anyway because, alas their love didn’t last too long once the dating dramas were over and the couple split not long after the show.
So, just where are Jess and Max now?
Jess Hayes
Jessica Hayes is now 27 and has gone on to become a big success as an influencer on Instagram.
The former model has 374k followers on the social platform and shares parenting, fashion and lifestyle posts.
The former ITV star is now also a devoted mum to her son two-year-old son Presley whom she shares with former fiancé Dan Lawry.
The couple met in 2018 and were over the moon to welcome their baby boy Presley in 2019 and Jess’ Instagram account is testament to the love and devotion she has for her son.
Jess had been engaged to mechanic Dan for three years but the pair is said to have parted ways in May.
As fans gear up to get to know the next batch of Love Island hopefuls Jessica has been enjoying days out in the sunshine with Presley.
She recently posted images of them enjoying ice cream while out and posted a story to her Instagram account showing Presley enjoying seeing Donkeys at a farm.
Max Morley
Meanwhile, Jess’ old flame Max has been living a rather different lifestyle.
After winning the show in 2015 then splitting from Jess, Max, now 28, ended up dating Jess’ love rival, Naomi Ball again for a while.
In fact, Max has managed to bag himself quite a few Love Island girlfriends as he also dated Zara Holland from season 2 and more recently Laura Anderson who was a runner up on series 5.
Max had another taste of reality TV dating when he appeared on Ex on the beach.
The former Love Island star, who used to play cricket for Durham, keeps a relatively low social media profile but has recently posted images in celebration of a friend’s birthday.
His time appears to be taken up with a house renovation project, which he has posted about twice, after getting the keys to a mystery property in December 2020.
Photos show Max holding a hammer and nails with the caption: “Loving the renovation project. Starting to take shape nicely.”
Another post reveals the reality TV star has been battling a back injury that is now on the mend, as he shared his happiness at finally being able to run again, saying: “It feels amazing to be back running after suffering with back problems for 18 months. I’m finally 100% healthy and ready to get back training and in shape.”
News of Max’s love life has been quiet since his split from Laura Anderson in 2019 but at least Love Island fans will soon have a brand new cast of hopefuls to find out more about.
