Popular rap trio Migos recently revealed the tracklist for their highly anticipated fourth studio album and first project together in three years, Culture III. Outside of music, the artists are involved in separate ventures. Which member has the highest net worth?
Are the Migos brothers?
Quavious Keyate “Quavo” Marshall, 30, his cousin, Kiari Kendrell “Offset” Cephus, 29, and nephew Kirshnik Khari “Takeoff” Ball, 26, grew up together, raised by Quavo’s mother in Atlanta, Georgia.
They developed an affinity for rapping and formed a trio in 2008, originally named The Polo Club, before settling on their current title.
In an interview with Hot 97, Takeoff and Quavo noted the name came from their area that allegedly serves as “the hub of drugs out there. So, everything that comes to Georgia got to touch Gwinnett County first, so we just call it Migos.”
The hip hop trio dropped their first official project, a mixtape titled Jugg Season, in Aug. 2011, followed by No Label (Jun. 2012).
Migos first made a splash with ‘Versace’
In 2013, the group initially made waves with their first Billboard Hot 100 single, “Versace.” The song blew up when rapper Drake hopped on the remix, resulting in a successful rollout for their next mixtape, Young Rich N****s. Additionally, “Versace” made several end-of-the-year lists, helping the group become more mainstream.
Migos followed it up with another project, No Label 2 (Feb. 2014), which also did well. Shortly later, it was revealed the group signed to an independent label under Atlantic Records, 300 Entertainment.
They released their debut album Young Rich Nation (Jul. 2015), which hit number 17 on the Billboard 200. However, the group chose to go independent before signing with Quality Control Music.
In 2016, the Migos got their first number one hit with the viral single “Bad and Boujee,” featuring rapper Lil Uzi Vert and became a household sensation. Shortly following the song’s success, the Migos appeared in an episode of Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover’s Atlanta.
Which Migos member is the richest?
Quavo is the most visible and well-known of the trio as he embraces his celebrity status more than his relatives.
In 2017, he formed a duo with Travis Scott, together Huncho Jack, and they dropped a collaborative album that hit number three on the charts. Quavo has also released a solo album, Quavo Huncho, which peaked at number two. The rapper has four top 10 singles with other artists and has appeared in Star, Black-Ish, Ballers, and Narcos: Mexico.
Offset, who is in a high profile relationship with rapper Cardi B, is the next most recognizable Migos member and has also released a collaborative album, his with 21 Savage titled Without Warning and solo project, Father of 4. Additionally, the “Ric Flair Drip” artist is an investor in esports organization, FaZe Clan.
Takeoff, who leads the most private life of his relatives, dropped his album, The Last Rocket, in 2018, and it charted at number four. He seemingly doesn’t have any other ventures outside of music. Despite their different projects, CelebrityNetWorth reports the members as having the same net worth of $26 million.
