A salon visit can be particularly stressful when you're trying out a new hairstyle.
The daunting experience can often leave people nervous — whether they arrive for a quick trim or a longer spa-like treatment.
And, if TikTok is anything to go by, it turns out quite a few people have ended up with hilariously bad haircuts.
One woman was left stunned after she visited her hairdresser and was left with a trim that "looked like it has been eaten by rats."

Leanne Deliah took to the app after returning home from her most recent trim to show her 5,600 followers the results.
However, the 24-year-old from Berlin seemed her new mullet as she claimed it looked like her hair had been "eaten by rats" rather than professionally trimmed.
In the video, which has gained more than 209,000 likes, Leanne wrote: "The hairdresser f**ked up so badly, you won't believe this."
She added in the caption: "My hair looks like it got eaten by rats."
The TikTok user, who posts under the username @leanne.deliah, filmed herself looking shocked, before stepping back from the camera and turning around to give a full view.
Viewers couldn't believe it and took to the comments outraged for her and told her to just go bald instead.
One user said: "Hairdressers really need to start saying "sorry, I don't know how to do that."
Another added: "I swear every time I go get a haircut it’s always the same lady and she always messes up."
A third commented: "Oh nah we gotta go bald."
"The way the caption is so true," a fourth wrote.
However, some viewers came to the defence of the stylist, writing: "You need to show the inspiration photo that you showed the stylist that did this cut. It doesn’t look like a bad haircut depending on what you asked."
Another argued: "No bc with some styling it could turn out really well."
But Leanne replied: "Yea no definitely not I tried haha the cut was just so messed up."
