Arsenal legend Aaron Ramsey 'could be forced to quit Nice' just weeks after triggering new deal | The Sun

AARON RAMSEY could leave OGC Nice this summer, according to reports.

The 32-year-old joined the Ligue 1 side in a free transfer from Juventus last summer and signed a one-year deal upon his arrival.

His contract was extended by a further season earlier this year, meaning it now runs until 2024.

However, according to French newspaper Nice-Matin, Ramsey wants to stay at the Allianz Riviera Stadium until at least 2025.

Nice are currently understood to be reluctant to sanction another extension, so the midfielder could be "tempted" by a move elsewhere this summer.

Ramsey made 34 appearances for the French side during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring once and assisting three goals.

Despite his return to form – following an injury-plagued spell at Juventus – he is yet to be linked with another club.

The Welshman joined Juve from Arsenal in 2019, but he failed to reach the same heights as he did in north London.

Ramsey spent nine years with Arsenal after signing for the club in 2008.

He scored 64 goals and registered 66 assists in 369 appearances for the Gunners.
