Authorities in Qatar are expecting fewer England fans for their match with Senegal than were in the country for the group stage.
Over 10,000 — including expats — were in Doha to see games against Iran, the USA and Wales.
But officials here think that figure will drop to around 7,000 for the tie with Senegal at the Al Bayt Stadium.

7,000 Three Lions supporters are predicted to be in the country compared to 10,000 for the group stages
The view is that many are hedging their bets and waiting to see if the Three Lions make the semi-final, and will then flood to the Gulf state — with a huge influx expected should that be the case.
Many supporters who came out for the group stage are now back in the UK. While airlines have experienced an upsurge in sales over the past couple of days, plenty of empty seats remain on direct flights to Doha from both London and Manchester, with England set to have 30 per cent fewer backers against the African champions.
There are yet to be any arrests of England fans, with zero reported incidents aside from a minor flashpoint close to the Wales section during the 3-0 win over their British rivals.
