Everton vs Tottenham betting tips

It's a tough one to call as Everton welcome Tottenham to Goodison Park tonight.

Spurs arrive in fifth position having been leapfrogged by Newcastle over the weekend. Everton, meanwhile, find themselves back in the relegation zone after big wins for Bournemouth and West Ham.

The international break arrived at the right time for Tottenham and perhaps the wrong time for Everton.

Sean Dyche's side put together a three-game unbeaten run for the first time since October, while Spurs sacked Antonio Conte and installed Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason to oversee things for the remainder of the campaign.

The head-to-head meetings between these sides makes for grim reading for the hosts. They've won just one of their past 20 Premier League games with Tottenham, drawing nine and losing 10. Spurs are also unbeaten in their last nine visits to Goodison Park, with three wins and six draws.

However, five of Everton's six top-flight victories this season have come at Goodison and Tottenham are without a win in five away games in all competition.

Kane pain…

Death, taxes and Harry Kane scoring against Everton. The England international simply loves making an impact against the Toffees.

The 29-year-old centre-forward has scored 15 goals in 16 appearances against Everton, including a staggering SIX braces. His record has gone under the radar this season given the exploits of Erling Haaland, but he's registered 23 goals in 39 appearances.

He's scored in four-successive appearances in all competitions for Tottenham and England, and can punish a leaky Everton who've conceded 2+ goals in five of their last seven.

  • Our tip: Harry Kane to score 2+ goals at 6/1 with William Hill

Goals, goals, goals…

As mentioned, Sean Dyche has managed to improve Everton's output but still hasn't conquered the defensive stability. The Toffees have claimed 11 points since Dyche's arrival, scoring seven goals and conceding 12.

They've been involved in two 2-2 draws over the last three against Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, with over 3.5 goals scored completed three times in March.

It's a fairly similar story for the visitors, who drew 3-3 with Southampton on their last outing and beat Forest 3-1 the week before. Spurs have conceded 40 league goals in 2022-23, as many as in the entirety of last season, with 10 matches still to play.

  • Our tip: Over 3.5 goals scored at odds of 5/2 with William Hill

Gray day…

Everton are once again without Dominic Calvert-Lewin for today's contest, meaning makeshift striker Demarai Gray will continue in attack. The 26-year-old is the club's top scorer this season with six goals in all competitions.

Gray has had more shots than any Everton player with 46, and 20 of those have been on target. He averages an effort on goal every 43 minutes and that could be good news against a Tottenham side who allowed seven efforts on target against rock-bottom Southampton.

  • Our tip: Demarai Gray over 1 shot on target at 16/5 with William Hill
