CHELSEA are reportedly “seriously pushing” to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko after the star’s agent denied he is close to agreeing a new deal.
The 18-year-old forward burst onto the scene at Dortmund two years ago and has caught the eye of Europe’s big boys since.
He has scored 11 goals in 59 appearances for the Bundesliga club and recently featured for Germany during their disastrous World Cup campaign that ended in group stage elimination.
Moukoko is now about to enter the final six months of his contract at Dortmund and is yet to sign an extension.
Manchester United and Liverpool are the latest clubs to enter the transfer chase to sign him.
And we reported earlier this week how Chelsea were launching an £8.6million bid to snap-up Moukoko in January.

Now Moukoko’s agent Patrick Williams has further hinted that his client could be off by saying: “I can confirm that we are currently not closing in on agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign a new contract.”
Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg has offered his own update on the situation.
He tweeted: “Contract extension at BVB is NOT close as his agent confirms at Sky. Offer to less & NOT as reported between €5-6m. Much less!
“#CFC seriously pushing for him. There were concrete talks about numbers. Player wants a decision soon.”

Dortmund do not want to lose Moukoko but are believed to be content to cash in next month rather than lose him for free.
They have made several attempts to convince the striker to stay with them.
But Moukoko’s offers from elsewhere appear to dwarf the package on offer from Dortmund.
Now Chelsea’s £8.6m offer could be enough to see him on the move in a matter of weeks as they search for a replacement for injured forward Armando Broja.
