Chelsea star drops heartbroken tweet after Mason Mount seals £60m Man Utd transfer | The Sun

TREVOH CHALOBAH has dropped a heartbroken tweet as Mason Mount prepares to leave Chelsea.

Mount is set to join Manchester United for £60million after the two clubs agreed a fee for the midfielder.

Personal terms are understood to have already been finalised, with an official announcement of the signing all that remains.

Following the news that a fee had been agreed, Chalobah tweeted a crying face emoji before quickly deleting his cryptic post.

Just minutes later, though, he wrote: "My boy," with a crying face emoji and a broken heart emoji.

Although the meaning behind the post is unknown, the timing suggests it was in reference to Mount.

Chalobah and Mount came through Chelsea's academy together before starring in the first-team.

Along with their 47 Chelsea appearances together, the pair also starred alongside each other in several England youth teams.

Mount's 18-year stay at Chelsea is now set to end, though, after United finally agreed a fee with the Blues.

The Red Devil's had looked set to walk away from the deal when their £55million bid was rejected, only to later reopen talks.

Mount departs Stamford Bridge having made 195 first-team appearances and winning both the Champions League and the Club World Cup.

Chalobah remains a Chelsea player but has also been linked with a move this summer.

Inter Milan were reportedly interested in a £25million move earlier this month.

However, Chalobah only signed a new deal in November which runs through to the summer of 2028 with the option of a further year.
