The Colorado Buffaloes on Wednesday announced the dates for their football games this fall.
The Deion Sanders era kicks off Sept. 2 when CU heads to Fort Worth, Texas, to take on TCU, the College Football Playoffs championship runner-up. Coach Prime’s Boulder debut will be on Sept. 9 against longtime rival Nebraska. On Sept. 16, the Buffs host in-state rival Colorado State in the latest installment of the Rocky Mountain Showdown.
“We’re excited about the home schedule we’ve put together for both the start of the Coach Prime era and the 100th season at Folsom Field,” CU athletic director Rick George said in a news release. “Having both Nebraska and Colorado State at home for the first time in 18 years, the final game against USC for the foreseeable future and Family Weekend, Homecoming and Senior Day games set, 2023 is shaping up to be one of our most exciting home schedules in a long time.”
CU will have nine Pac-12 conference games, including five on the road. The Buffs will travel to Oregon (Sept. 23), Arizona State (Oct. 7), UCLA (Oct. 28), Washington State (Nov. 17) and Utah (Nov. 25). They’ll host USC (Sept. 30), Stanford (Oct. 13), Oregon State (Nov. 4) and Arizona (Nov. 11).
The Pac-12 championship game is scheduled for either Dec. 1 or 2 at Allegiant Field in Las Vegas.
Times and TV schedules for the first three weeks will be announced in early June. The remaining game times will be set six to 12 days in advance per contractual agreements between the Pac-12 and its television partners.
