DEONTAY WILDER is back in action this weekend when he takes on Robert Helenius in Brooklyn on Saturday night.

The Bronze Bomber is set to return to the ring for the first time since losing his trilogy fight with Tyson Fury in October last year.

Wilder – who now holds a record of 42-2-1 with 41 knockouts – will get aim to get back on track with an impressive performance against the Swede.

One thing the Bronze Bomber doesn't have to worry about on Saturday is cash – having pocketed plenty throughout his Gypsy King trilogy.

What did Deontay Wilder earn in Fury defeats?

The purse was split 50-50 for their initial rematch in February 2020, following their exhilarating draw in December 2018.

USA Daily Express report that Wilder picked up $5m (£3.85m) from the purse alone.

But each fighter is expected to have banked a guaranteed $25m (£19.28m), before adding the pay-per-view revenue.

This saw their wallets bulge even further, with PPV sales believed to have been in the region of 800,000 buys.

It came out on top as a record gate receipt for a heavyweight bout in Nevada.

The $16.9m (£12.1m) taken for those attending at the MGM Grand, beat 1999's Lennox Lewis vs Evander Holyfield clash at Thomas & Mack Center.

He pocketed a cool $20m (£18m) for his efforts – despite falling to defeat again.

What is Wilder worth?

According to Forbes, Wilder made a massive $46.5M (£33m) in 2020 alone – despite fighting just the once.

That figure included $500,000 (£360,000) a year from endorsements and sponsorship.

That made him third wealthiest boxer behind Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Anthony Joshua.

His latest bout then made his even wealthier – easily allowing him to take 12 months off ahead of his return on Saturday.
