RAHEEM STERLING has emerged as the favourite to win the Best Player of the Tournament award at Euro 2020.
The winger scored both of England's winners in the group stages and continued his red-hot form by netting the opener in the 2-0 win over Germany.
The Man City star was initially 40/1 to win the award before the tournament began.
And Sterling drifted as far as 66/1 in the bookies' market after the goalless draw against Scotland.
But following his heroics against Germany, Betfair have Sterling at 6/1 to be named the player of the tournament.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Raheem Sterling is now the favourite to be named the best player at Euro 2020, with England expected to reach the final at the very least.
“That should give Sterling plenty of time to add to his three goals and potentially inspire the team to success at Wembley on 11 July.
“Belgium's Romelu Lukaku will have different ideas. He is 15/2 to win the Best Player of the Tournament award, ahead of Denmark captain Simon Kjaer (17/2).”

England's remarkable run of four clean sheets and three wins from four games at the tournament has also seen their price of lifting the trophy slashed.
The Three Lions are now 15/8 favourites, as they boast a favourable run to the final.
Gareth Southgate's men are next in action on Saturday evening with a quarter-final against Ukraine.
Only 17 per cent of punters have backed England to go all the way while the bookies have seen 26 per cent of bets backing Belgium to lift the trophy.
