Knockout conspiracies emerge after suspicious Mayweather-Paul video

Logan Paul has one message for internet critics claiming Floyd Mayweather covered up a knockout in Sunday night’s fight.

“Yo, I’m seeing this narrative going around that there’s one part of the fight where Floyd punched me and I kind of leaned on him a little bit and it looks like I kinda went limp,” Paul said in a series of Instagram stories on Monday. “And people are trying to spin it and say he knocked me out and caught me and kept me up to keep the fight going till the eighth round.

“Shut the f–k up, like just shut the f–k up, like stop trying to discredit what happened last night.”

Following the fight, which pre-determined there would be no judges or winner, viral videos appeared to show Paul hanging on to Mayweather after taking a punch from the 50-0 veteran fighter.

Paul, who lasted eight three-minute rounds in the exhibition bout in Miami, complimented Mayweather’s fighting skills, but maintained he was never KO’d.

“Make no mistake, he got a lot of good punches in. There’s a couple photos, I got f–ked up a couple shots. I didn’t know my face could make that shape. But never rocked, never blacked out, never obviously got knocked out. He never helped me up,” Paul said.

“He tried to take me out and he couldn’t. It was great.”

Paul, in more Instagram stories, showed off a Puerto Rican sunset and a private jet.

“I’m so happy guys,” he said, thanking his fans for their support.

“The one question that remains: Where do I go from here?”

Paul also questioned who his next opponent will be, and delivered a bold pledge:

“My next fight I will knock my opponent out brutal & cold. I promise,” he wrote.
