Logan Paul is ‘going to be great’ at WrestleMania but WWE icon Rey Mysterio's desperate for his own WrestleMania moment

WWE legend Rey Mysterio admits he has “no doubt” that Logan Paul will shine on his WrestleMania debut inside the ring.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer will make his wrestling bow at the Showcase of the Immortals on Night One of the two-day extravaganza this Saturday.

The star has made millions with his forays inside the boxing ring, the last coming when he went the distance with Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition fight last summer.

Now he is hoping for similar success in the squared-circle as he prepares to team-up with The Miz to take on father-and-son duo Rey and Dominik Mysterio.

Paul, 26, has impressed everyone with his work ethic in training at WWE’s Performance Center in Florida ahead of the event.

And he has even promised to come off the top rope as he shared footage of Miz and Shane Helms prepping him.

Veteran Mysterio believes he is in for a tough test against the much-maligned Paul.

But he is determined to claim the win for another ace making their first appearance on the WrestleMania stage – his 24-year-old boy and tag partner.

When quizzed about the threat of Paul, the former WWE champion, 47, said: “I have no doubt in my mind that he's going to do great, just because he's done some amateur wrestling and he has boxed against one of the greatest boxers in the history of boxing, Floyd Mayweather.

“There's no doubt that The Miz is probably training him correctly, but my son and I have been working really hard and prepping up for this match because it's an important one.

“Not only is it my son's first WrestleMania moment but it's also our first WrestleMania moment together as father and son.

“I don't think there's ever been a father and son moment at WrestleMania, so we want to make sure that's established and we want to make sure we get that W.

“For Logan to be present at WrestleMania, coming in as an outsider, it's a big deal to be able to get the W that night.”

WWE WrestleMania 38 will be shown live on WWE Network for subscribers in the UK from 1am both nights.

The WWE Network costs £9.99 per month.

In the US, the show will be broadcast live on Peacock.
