MANCHESTER UNITED and Arsenal have been left empty-handed after Denis Zakaria completed his £7million Juventus move.
German side Borussia Monchengladbach confirmed Zakaria had departed for the bargain fee after entering the final six months of his contract.
The Switzerland international, 25, had been on Ralf Rangnick’s radar during the winter transfer window.
And Mikel Arteta was also said to be keen in his efforts to find a new central midfielder.
But Man Utd and Arsenal will have to look elsewhere after Zakaria sealed a transfer to Juventus on deadline day.
The ace played 146 games in four-and-a-half years at Gladbach.
And Max Allegri made Zakaria his top priority after splashing out £62million on Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic last week.
But the powerhouse’s arrival in Turin will see several Juve stars depart before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
