Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Harry Kane price set at £120million, TEN offers for Anthony Elanga, Eriksen on CRUTCHES | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED will have to pay £120million if they want to sign Harry Kane, according to reports.

And the England striker's total package will cost around £300m if he signs a long-term deal worth around £400,000-a-week.

Meanwhile, the club have reportedly received TEN offers from clubs wanting to take Anthony Elanga on loan for the rest of the season.

The Red Devils winger, who came off the bench in Saturday night’s 3-1 FA Cup victory over Reading, has started just seven games under Erik ten Hag this season.

Elsewhere, United have been dealt a blow after Christian Eriksen left Old Trafford on crutches at the weekend.

    Do United need Eriksen cover?

They have been going well this season, but do Manchester United find themselves suddenly a bit short in midfield at the 11th hour of this Janaury transfer window?

A Red Devils' engine room led by red-hot Casemiro looks a match for anyone right now.

But the knock picked up by influential Dane Christian Eriksen in Saturday's FA Cup win over Reading will be a concern to boss Erik ten Hag.

And with less than 48 hours before that infamous window shuts (don't slam it please) the Dutchman may have to look for another recruit to help out in for a busy run-in.

    Good morning Man Utd fans

Man Utd have decided against accepting any loan or permanent offers for out of favour defender Victor Lindelof.

Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid had been linked with the Sweden international.

However, boss Erik Ten Hag is reportedly keen to keep him, claims Fabrizio Romano.

Man Utd might make a late move in the transfer market, after Christian Eriksen suffered an injury.

The Danish playmaker was spotted leaving Old Trafford on crutches after the Reading FA Cup game.

And according to GiveMe Sport, that could force the Red Devils into moving for another midfielder to fill Eriksen’s gap.

It is currently unknown how long Eriksen is out for.

Man Utd have learned the price they would have to pay to prise Harry Kane away from Spurs, according to reports.

The Daily Star says it would take £300million to sign the England striker.

In terms of a transfer fee, the Tottenham ace would command a transfer fee of £120m.

Then, it would cost around £400,000-per-week in wages – with Kane likely demanding three to four year contract.

Anthony Elanga is the subject of TEN offers from a range of European clubs, according to reports.

Fabrizio Romano claims PSV and Borussia Dortmund are pushing hard to sign him on loan.

Man Utd have not yet made a decision on him.

Manchester United are reportedly considering recalling those out on loan – with Hannibal Mejbri a possibility.

The Tunisian midfielder is currently at Birmingham on loan and could be needed with a busy run of fixtures to come and Christian Eriksen potentially injured for some time.

The 20-year-old has been praised by ex-boss Ralf Rangnick and by Blues boss John Eustace.

    Keane's Fred praise

Roy Keane praised Manchester United midfielder Fred for a "lovely little finish" in the FA Cup win over Reading.

He said: "That's probably what I think is his role – coming off the bench, particularly in games like this when the game is done.

"Reading fall asleep at a corner, United have looked a bit better on set pieces recently.

"He just walks in there, he's obviously got a trick, lovely little finish. Poor from Reading, but lovely little finish."

    Dembele boost

Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele could miss both legs of the club's upcoming Europa League play-off against Manchester United due to a thigh injury.

The Frenchman, 25, was forced off during Barcelona's La Liga clash with Girona on Saturday.

He was seen clutching his leg midway through the first half, raising concerns for Xavi and his coaching staff.

And a post-match statement from the club confirmed that he had sustained an injury to his quadricep.

The statement read: "Tests carried out this evening on Ousmane Dembele have shown that he has a rectus femoris injury in his left thigh.

"He is out and his recovery will determine his availability."

    Eriksen on crutches

A reminder of the big news coming out of Manchester United today, that Christian Eriksen left Old Trafford yesterday on crutches.

The 30-year-old was on the receiving end of a nasty challenge from Andy Carroll during the FA Cup clash between Manchester United and Reading on Saturday.

Carroll received two yellow cards in the space of five minutes for fouls on Tyrell Malacia and Man of the Match Casemiro.

Fans went online to blast the "crazy" challenges, but it was a scissor kick from behind against Eriksen – which went unpunished – that is set to have the biggest impact.

The Danish international went off in the 57th minute for Fred.

However, Ten Hag and United fans alike will now be sweating over his fitness after Eriksen was spotted leaving Old Trafford on crutches with a suspected ankle injury.

Following the game, Ten Hag said: "It's always difficult to say so soon after the game finished, but it's an ankle [injury] and we have to see what the diagnosis is."

    Ten Hag on Antony

Big money signing Antony has been on the receiving end of a criticism lately but his manager believes he is making strides in the right direction.

Erik ten Hag said: "I think he's growing. We want him to be also more dynamic, more variable and more direct.

"You see I think [it] was a lovely pass on the first goal. It was a good combination – a Brazilian combination, Antony and Casemiro – so we are happy with his improvement in this moment.

"But yeah there still is more to come and I think he's capable of it, I think it's big potential in him and he has to develop it every day."

    Keane slams Malacia

Pundit Roy Keane hit out at Tyrell Malacia's defending in the 3-1 win against Reading.

The left-back made a huge error presenting Junior Hoilett with a chance and United were lucky it was not taken with the game goalless.

Keane was angry at Malacia saying to ITV: "What are these defenders thinking?

"Honestly, it drives me mad. As if he's surprised somebody's next to him. Switch on. Be aware of what’s next to you on the football pitch. It drives me crazy."

    Gone Down Under

Former Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has completed a shock move to Western Sydney Wanderers.

The 33-year-old has joined the Australian side on loan from French outfit Nice until the end of the season.

Schneiderlin, who joined United in 2015 for £25million from Southampton, has not played a single minute for the Sir Jim Ratcliffe owned Nice this season.

He spent just 18 months with United and won the FA Cup during his time at Old Trafford.

The former France international midfielder played 47 games for the Red Devils before being sold to Everton for £24m.

    Thanks Mum

Man Utd fans were left thanking Adrien Rabiot's mum after last night's FA Cup victory over Reading.

Casemiro's double saw United gain passage to the fifth-round of the competition as the Brazilian once again stole the show at Old Trafford.

His formidable performances since arriving in August have gained plaudits from fans and pundits – but it may have all been so different.

Rabiot was originally United's main target to fill the hole in their midfield but the deal could not be done.

It has been reported that the robust demands of his agent mother, Veronique Rabiot, was the reason the move collapsed.

United fans could not help but pay tribute to her role in allowing Casemiro to wind up in Manchester.

One fan said on Twitter: "Thank you, Veronique Rabiot for giving us the best defensive midfielder in the world.

One supporter went even further with a tongue-in-cheek demand to "dedicate a statue" in the agent mum's honour.

Ten Hag hints at loan departures

Manager Erik ten Hag has opened up on the likes of Brandon Williams going out on loan.

On the left-back, he said: "He had a bad injury, he's on the way back, he was in the pre-season for the restart [in Spain] and now he's in the squad.

"He was also in the selection for last Wednesday at Forest so he's really a part of it. It's also a little bit up to him but I like him, but we have to work with him and see where his developments can go.

"That is also about him, to find the moment where he can deserve his chance and take his chance. But when he wants a loan, we have to talk about that."

Ten Hag also hinted that Zidane Iqbal and Facundo Pellistri could leave temporarily.

    United missed out on wonderkid

Man Utd and Real Madrid missed out on signing Liverpool star Stefan Bajcetic.

The 18-year-old midfielder was on the books of Celta Vigo before signing for the Merseyside club and he has since made his first debut and earned an improved contract.

Celta's academy director Alex Otero has revealed other clubs like United wanted Bajcetic but the player's father was keen on him going to Liverpool.

Otero said Real Madrid "went crazy" when they found it he was not going to sign for them.

    Park's Man Utd shock

Cult hero Park Ji-sung has opened up about when he found out that Manchester United wanted to sign him.

The midfielder signed from PSV in 2005 for a fee of £4million and went on to win four Premier League and one Champions League title.

He was left in disbelief when he heard Sir Alex Ferguson wanted him to join the Red Devils.

Park said: "I heard that Manchester United were interested in me. But I said to my agent, ‘Don’t even joke! It can’t be true’ I just laughed. I didn’t believe it.

“On my way back from a game, he told me: ‘Sir Alex is waiting for your call’.

"I was quite afraid of taking the call because at the time, my English wasn’t good enough."

    Carroll's moment of madness

Fans were all saying the same thing after Andy Carroll was sent off at Manchester United for two horror tackles in "10 minutes of madness."

Carroll was given his first booking in the 59th minute for bashing into United's Tyrell Malacia, with his shoulder making contact with the Dutchman's face.

But instead of cooling down, the ex-Liverpool and Newcastle star continued to barrel around the field.

And not long after Carroll was given his marching orders for a bruising late challenge on Casemiro.

It prompted fans to flood Twitter as they reacted to the incident, with some reckoning he should have been sent off even earlier for some other wild tackles – including a scissor tackle on Christian Eriksen moments earlier.

One said: "Andy Carroll really wanted to be sent off didn't he! Crazy 10 minutes of late challenges."

Another joked: "Andy Carroll still doing Andy Carroll things."

    Good morning United fans

Man Utd could be set for a shock swoop for Stefan De Vrij in the summer transfer window, according to Sport Italia.

30-year-old centre back De Vrij is out of contract in June.

Newcastle, Tottenham, Villarreal and Feyenoord are all said to be monitoring his situation, alongside the Red Devils.

De Vrij has appeared 19 times for Inter Milan this campaign.
He is said to be considering his future and will reportedly make a decision by mid-February.

Former Man Utd striker Louis Saha has urged his former club to sign Harry Kane – because it would guarantee a Premier League win next season.

“If Harry Kane goes to Manchester United, then I can guarantee that he’s going to win the Premier League,” Saha told Betfred.

“You can’t ask for much more as he knows the Premier League and he’s scored so many goals for Tottenham and the national team.

“With Manchester United’s current set-up and their approach to games tactically, then having a forward that can come into that team and score you 25 goals a season will be the last piece of the puzzle.

“You need somebody who can do the big job and the big job is to score 25 to 30 goals.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has invited some of his Manchester United pals on holiday to join him in a proper goodbye.

Ronaldo’s United exit happened when he was with Portugal on World Cup duty, meaning he never got a chance to say farewell to team-mates.

So now he has been in touch with his closest friends in the squad to try and arrange a visit to his homeland — or even visit him in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo left United in November after criticising the club in an interview with Piers Morgan.

He signed a £170million-a-year deal with Saudi side Al Nassr — the richest football deal ever.

Ronaldo, 37, is currently having a luxury home built on the outskirts of Lisbon and has texted some of his pals at United about getting together over the summer.

He has also asked if they would be interested in watching him play for his new club in the Middle East, if schedules allow it.

Erik ten Hag has insisted there is more to come from underfire Brazilian winger Antony.

The £85m signing has had his critics of late following some poor displays.

But the Dutch tactician has backed his signing to come good, if he continues to improve.

Ten Hag told ITV Sport after the Reading game: “I think he is growing. We want him to be more dynamic and direct.

"We are happy with his improvement but there is more to come. Big potential and he has to develop every day."
