PSG and Real Madrid 'set for Kylian Mbappe transfer talks with striker determined to leave after snubbing new contract'

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN will begin talks with Real Madrid over the transfer of Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.

The Frenchman's existing deal expires next summer and it's believed he will NOT sign a contract extension at the Ligue 1 club.

According to El Chiringuito via AS, Mbappe has rejected PSG's renewal offers and wants to speak to the club's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The 22-year-old will reportedly tell Al-Khelaifi he wants to join Real but will not force a move by making demands or threats.

It's thought the PSG chief will then travel to the Spanish capital to discuss a possible transfer with Real, although Mbappe won't come cheap.

The LaLiga side are reportedly considering launching a take-it-or-leave-it £102million offer for Mbappe in a bid to tempt Al-Khelaifi.

The French giants will not want to lose the player on a free transfer next summer after spending a reported £162m on him three years ago.

Mbappe has gone from strength to strength since joining PSG, initially on loan, in 2017 – scoring 92 goals in 109 Ligue 1 games.

He's won three league titles, three French Cups and the World Cup during that time – and reached the Champions League final in 2020.

Mbappe's reluctance to put pen to paper at PSG has annoyed the club's fans, who BOOED the player prior to their game against Starsbourg.

PSG are said to be considering replacements for Mbappe, with rumours suggesting they will make a bid for Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo.

If Ronaldo was to join the French giants, he would play alongside long-term rival Lionel Messi after the Argentine's move from Barcelona.

PSG star Angel Di Maria tempted the Portugal captain by claiming he must be desperate to join the French club in a recent interview.
