QIPCO 2000 Guineas contender Rajasinghe completes an 'extraordinary' piece of work for trainer Richard Spencer with Adam Kirby booked to ride the colt at Newmarket

RICHARD SPENCER can't wait to unleash Rajasinghe in the QIPCO 2000 Guineas after an "extraordinary" piece of work this week.

The colt is a general 33-1 shot for the Classic, and last year's Coventry Stakes winner could be flying under the radar with Adam Kirby booked to ride.

Spencer said: "The racecourse gallop brought him on a hell of a lot. His last bit of a work (on Wednesday) was extraordinary and we are well on course for Saturday.

"Adam is one of the best jockeys out there and we're thrilled he has taken the ride. He sat on him this week for the first time and said the horse gave him a great feel.

"Ideally he wants at least good ground so the forecast for the rest of the week is very encouraging.
