Roy Keane has joked that Argentina’s players can ‘dance all they want’ after winning the World Cup in a dig at Brazil’s beaten stars at the World Cup in Qatar.

Keane blasted Brazil’s players and then-manager Tite for dancing in celebration after scoring in their last-16 tie with South Korea.

The former Manchester United midfielder-turned pundit made reference to his damning comments about Brazil on ITV after Argentina had beaten France on penalties to win the World Cup.

Keane joked that Argentina’s players can dance ‘for the next 10 years’ after lifting the trophy.

‘He’s [Scaloni] on the sidelines, he’s kicking every ball with them, that emotion we talk about is vital for this group of players and it got them over the line the emotion,’ he said.

‘Look what brilliant scenes, it is just brilliant, dance all you want.

‘They’ll be dancing at the hotel tonight, good luck to them, they’ll be dancing for the next 10 years. That’s when you dance, when you win it.’

His players were also jubilant on the pitch as they celebrated their victory in what many are calling the greatest World Cup final of all time.

Argentina lifted their first World Cup title since 1986 as superstar captain Lionel Messi finally won the elusive trophy to end his career-long wait to become world champion with the South American nation.

Messi scored twice in the final – and converted Argentina’s first spot-kick in the shootout – while Kylian Mbappe’s hat-trick, which dragged France back into the match, proved to be in vain.

The 35-year-old national team hero was visibly emotional after the match, sinking to his knees in tears before being surrounded by his teammate’s and former Manchester City striker and good friend Sergio Aguero.

Keane had earlier caught the attention as viewers commented on his impressive moustache that he had grown for the final.
