'Same mistakes' – Blue singer and pop star Anthony Costa slams beloved Tottenham as unwanted Conte record emerges

POP STAR Antony Costa slammed Tottenham stars after their top-four dream was dented by Wolves.

The Blue boyband idol is a huge Spurs fan and was furious after they hit a bum note in the 2-0 home defeat to Wanderers on Sunday.

And the London-born singer-songwriter admitted he is so worried about his team getting a thrashing in Saturday's live TV clash at Manchester City he wishes The Masked Singer was still on air!

Costa phoned talkSPORT after Sunday’s match to let rip at the North Londoners and an unwanted statistic for Spurs boss Antonio Conte.

He said: “It was just bad. I was there and it’s three points dropped again.

“Conte, bless him, has come to Spurs and he has broken his own record.

"He hasn’t lost three games in a row since 2009 – but Spurs will do that to you!

“It’s the same players making the same mistakes and we need so many players now, but I don’t think it’s going to happen in one transfer window in the summer.”

Hopes were high ex-Chelsea boss Conte would turn things around at Tottenham after he replaced axed Nuno Espirito Santo in November.

But after remaining unbeaten in his first nine Prem matches, Conte has now lost his last three – ahead of a trip to leaders City.

Costa added: “God knows what’s going to happen against City next week… I’m dreading it. I wish the Masked Singer was back on!”

"Conte must have thought, 'I can work with these players'. And he did do wonders.

“But in the last two or three games it’s been shambolic. Two-one up against Southampton and we lost 3-2.

“Today we didn’t even turn up. The first 15 minutes we were just non-existent. We’re playing so badly.”
